DJ Daze has a rich and diverse musical journey spanning over 30 years. Starting as a Popper and B-Boy in their youth, they were deeply influenced by the early Hip Hop elements. Their musical palette was shaped by listening to iconic radio stations like KDay, Uncle Jams Army, and The Mixmasters, while also diving into record collecting at a young age, sourcing gems from Norwalk Records.

Their artistic exploration extended beyond music into Graff and Writing, although a run-in with the law led them to pivot away from that path at their mother’s request. In the 90s, DJ Daze began delving into production, initially for personal projects with the acquisition of a Groove box. Their immersion in production deepened while collaborating with rapper “Poet,” leading to encounters with renowned producers like JD from We Track, who ignited DJ Daze’s passion for beat-making.

Today, DJ Daze crafts beats across genres like electro, darkwave, and hip-hop, showcasing a versatile and dynamic production style. Their formal education in music production culminated in a Suma Cum Laude graduation from The Los Angeles Film School, earning an Associate of Science degree in Music Production in 2020. This education, coupled with years of hands-on experience, positions DJ Daze as a skilled recording engineer, supporting emerging artists on their musical journeys.

As a turntablist, DJ Daze has a penchant for spinning Hip Hop, seamlessly blending it with Techno, minimal, acid techno, jungle, dnb, and pop, showcasing a mastery of diverse musical landscapes. Continuously evolving and navigating the intricacies of the music industry, DJ Daze remains a passionate and innovative force in the world of music and has become an integral member of The Shine On Events.
