For our 7th episode of "Mixed Feelings" we invited Galaxaura. She roams the Potsdam area and has been stepping up with some amazing shows across Germany. Recently playing Tarmac festival near Leipzig and next the one and only Clear Memory label showcase she is definatley a talent to look out for! 

The track selection is short but the soundscape which awaits you is huge. Catapulting you onto a different planet with the help of thoughtful breaks, loving deep bass and soothing acid lines the mix definatley represents our musical landscape and adds to the color palette of emotions. Music is my reliable companion in almost all situations in life and it carries me over the threshold even in the difficult moments, amplifies and intertwines feelings so that I can perceive sadness, joy, depth and breadth at the same time.

Each set tells an emotional story, but for the friends of emotional voyage, I wanted to bring my current emo heavyweights into the fray. Intergalactic soundpatters are almost always included, as they express my longing to imagine myself in another galaxy where war and capitalism no longer matter. It's not quite perfectly mixed, but it's a rare expression of my pandemic melancholy, coupled with a few soothing glimpses of light.

‘‘So this is going to sound super generic, since i know so many other dj colleagues struggle for similar things. I‘ve never uploaded a live mix of mine. On the other hand, i love to listen to mixes played by other djs in particular clubs. But when it comes to mine, i find myself being super hard on the live recordings. Thinking it only fitted to that timing, location and that particular crowd. I thought someone listening to that at home will never catch the energy of that room. 

A few weeks in the back i had the honor to play at SNC crew’s & city club augsburg‘s 10th birthday. Besides that this night was a whole blast and i fully fell in love with city club, it changed my idea about live recordings - but i was still hard on it tho. After getting so much feedback and Emi hyping me totally up, i finally agreed to uploading this nights recording. 

So here you go, i hope some peeps like it and please remember - let‘s not be hard on ourselves. Thank you to Emi, Valentin, Fufi & Raphael Schön for taking such good care of me‘‘

We are happy to welcome Rosa Red for the first podcast in 2023.
The Berlin-based DJ and producer was initially interested in psychedelic indie music, but found her way to electronic music via funky grooves and beats. This is how she found her current style, characterised by melody, rhythm and mood. As a producer, Rosa Red moves between house, breakbeat and subtle rave euphoria, which is also reflected in her splendid debut release "Feels".
In the 27th episode Vision Of you can expect a perfect mix of electro, breakbeats and progressive house, have fun!

While rave culture becomes a bigger thing of institutionalization, its worth a look how party concepts are constituted beside the thriving medialisation. H stands exactly for this movement of resistent subculture. Kicking off things 10 years ago in the catacombs of Paris, you can find him and his crew conquering Hamburgs hidden places by free partys and etablishing more and more in club culture all around. There is not more to say then: you can feel the not-matching-doesnt-care-tired-of-your-shit mode in this twisted set as a pure journey through tribal ways of body and mind expression. H personal message:

DMD has been a part of my Music Adventure since 2017 and still counts as one of my favorite gathering. There is something about this Gang that speaks to me beyond words and logic. Some kind of Silly Stupid Serious No Fuck Given Maximum Caring kind of vibe that I've learned to enjoy to the fullest. 

When it comes to Music, DMD has never failed to entertain and being a part of the catalogue is to me a true achievement. Somehow, the Serious/Not Serious taste of this Festival has become a part of how I play and translates into all my mixes. It is where I first understood the intent of bringing positive energy to the dancefloor and that though has never left me. 

This Podcast was actually much harder to record than it seems because I wanted it to reflect the fully spontaneous vibe that catches me every time I play the Sunday Morning slot. Never really prepared, always fully enjoyed, Gritty, Serious Not so Serious. After something close to a 100 take, I finally managed to jump into spacetime right back at the last Edition and express something "close enough" to what DMD really means to me, and it means a lot. I wish you all some fun listening to this piece of audio right between chaos and control, it has been recorded for you and thanks to you.
