Rohaan: Damn ok so its the year 2048 and the scene is now all in a pill. To even listen or make music you take a certain pill and it drops you into the industry which is now a mental state and nothing physical.

Much of the album, however, explores lower BPMs- no good story stays the same pace the whole time. From the ambient opening of “Dr. Rossum”, to the OG electro styling of “H+”, to the aptly jacking “Cockring Robot”, the album serves as a haunting time traveling trip temporally and through genres. It rightfully ends with the titular track “R.U.R.”, Djedjotronic’s own vision of the future. There’s something vaguely human about the pumping lead a crushed violin? and paradoxically both a claustrophobic and cavernous quality to the production. “R.U.R.” feels like a battle, and for good reason. The past’s own prophecies of technology ursurping humanity are all but coming true, and this album is Djedjotronic’s call to arms.

I wrote this while working on ‘Ultraviolet’ last year, but it didn't quite fit with the flow of the whole album. It reemerged again during live rehearsals and we decided to include it in our sets at festivals this summer, it's been real fun playing it live to all of you. So I thought I'd release it finally, I hope you enjoy it. x

Combining a deft sense of melody and melancholy with a keen ear for sound design, Vagarious contrasts deep wobbly sub with quirky percussion and soft, hypnotic hints of piano and synth. "Vitalik Buterin is a tribute to the founder of Ethereum and basically the sequel to Satoshi Nakamoto, except this time around, Kotek and I decided to make it an instrumetal journey. The song changes 5 times and keeps evolving beginning to end which is meant to symbolize the different stages of development and evolution of Ethereum and its ecosystem. We had so much fun making this tune and we sincerely hope that Vitalik likes it. :)”

"The story takes place in a world where the ecosystem has collapsed, and industrialism has made the world inhabitable and covered it in thick smog. A lonely spirit is wandering endlessly across the polluted landscapes until they encounter a tall monolith connected to a power station in the waters. The monolith serves as a portal and has a strange symbol carved into it, which represents a new world to those who encounter it. The black wires are connected to the Earth’s core, absorbing its remaining life energy so that is can be used as fuel to drive the portal to the new world, where those fortunate enough to find it in time can start over. They do not know whether anyone else has found the portal in time, or if they will be the last of their species, but they have no other choice than to take the step.
At first I had a specific idea to what the picture should look like, but it didn’t look right in the process, and so I had to do a lot of experimentation with objects and camera angles until the composition looked right. The design process was more about trial and error than anything else, but it also had to fit the heave bass lines and atmospheric pads in the music. I went with making the scene very industrial and mystical at the same time."
