Most hip-hop in the Bay Area is known as Hyphy, a style of uptempo hip-hop music originating in northern California and associated with a frenetic style of dancing. I am trying to show people authentic and original Bay Area sounds and tracks by artists who are and were well-known and admired in that region. I am a Bay Area native and I put a lot of heart and effort into this mix. I grew up listening to these songs and many of these songs became Bay Area anthems.
