This is a song about becoming aware that many of the people and industries that serve you are actually out to curate you as an object instead of as a person, and they don’t necessarily have your best interest in mind. They often only virtue signal publicly but when it comes down to private business they are cutthroat survival of the fittest. I’m trying to have a sense of dark humor about that and balance the chaos and order of people’s complicated motivations.
