Based on the field recordings from several spots as well as recordings of percussionist Ayberk Garagon's improvisations on vibraphone (and snares as "sympathetic strings") from the summer of 2018, this piece is an exercise in combining pitched and non-pitched material in a coherent way.

Instead of employing the acousmatic music tropes to encourage the audience to listen the peculiarities of the sound itself detached from its source, this composition aims (with a tongue-in-cheek attitude) to create a surreal concert hall experience, in which the source of each sound is (somewhat) familiar.

This work was first premiered on October 31, 2018 as part of the concert titled "MIAM Sonic Arts: Play Fast Rewind 2018" in Istanbul.

The UK premiere of this composition was on September 15, 2019 at De Montfort University's "Convergence Festival-Conference".

This miniature was composed for the Ertuğrul Oğuz Fırat memorial concert which took place at ITU MIAM Library on February 10, 2020.

The work does not depict any specific programmatic content, but I think it expresses the anxiety I have felt while composing it. The main source of this anxiety I believe was the contradiction between my endless respect for Fırat's work and my inability to put his work in a context. Simply put, I've felt that people like him are extinct in our times, and I did not have the right tools to communicate with him and his ideas. With respect to the great master...
