Illusions of Power is about political corruption, the collapse and seizure of control, sparring nations, war, drugs, gangs and the fraudulent, media systems that spin it all into rolling, fear-mongering 24 hour loops. Illusions of Power is about the horrors of the modern world and a humanity haunted by its bloodied past. But as every long dark tunnel comes to an end, Illusions of Power too has its glimmers of hope.

Written with an arsenal of hardware gear from the Londoner’s studio in Berlin, Dax J’s Electric Deluxe debut is a militant, yet atmospherical dancefloor assault. As he has proven over a slew of EPs for EarToGround Records and labels like LDNWHT, Deeply Rooted, Clergy and his own Monnom Black label, his sound is a compelling and thoroughly contemporary one. Dax J’s productions are typically mercurial, informed by the past and fortified with a wide range of influences from acid and ambient, to jungle and drum & bass. His EPs are rich, kaleidoscopic ventures involving an array of tempos and moods, and Illusions of Power is no different.

In “Reign Of Terror” and “Harry The Hatchet” on the A-side, and “Zulu Nation” and “The Quest” on the flip, Dax J flexes sinewy techno muscle in his rave-inciting idiom where the new and the oldschool collide. Then in the angst-ridden “Cartagena Square” (built around field recordings from Cartagena in South America) and dreamy breakbeats of “Breaking Visions” Illusions of Power present two very different diversions from the dance. In one there is light and a sense of relief; in the other, shadowy omens of the world are massing. The future is full of promise, but be on your guard.

Kassebaum, a Brooklyn resident, currently plays sets in NYC and beyond with carefully crafted selections that draw the listener towards an engaging and sometimes melancholic dancefloor peak. The energy and percussive grooves can be felt in every set. Taking inspiration from greats such as Rodhad, Cleric, Stef Mendesidis, Yan Cook, Marla Singer, Charles Fenckler and many more, his sets create a sense of atmospheric urgency with futuristic tones and driving kick patterns. A clear fan of traditional European techno, he brings his flavor to dancefloors all over Brooklyn and beyond.

Moteka is french producer Pierre Delort’s latest project. With over fifteen years of experience in the electronic music scene and after touring festivals and clubs around the world with his partner Rémy Maurin under the psytrance alias Principles of Flight, Pierre teams up once again with Rémy in the late 2000s to start a new techno collaboration. They are rapidly spotted by french label Skryptöm where they sign two EPs : Skryptöm 09 & 14 under the name Pierre Delort & Rémy Maurin. During 3 years, their transition from psytrance to techno occurs with success and personality, progressively evolving to a more modern sound, both grittier and refined with hints of melancholy. 
In 2013, Pierre moves to Marseille, where he starts the Moteka project. While Principles of Flight was a mixture of psytrance and goa with powerful techno rhythms and phantasmagoric cinematographic ambiences, Moteka veers towards an assumed minimalism and restraint, inspired by the classic english techno scene such as Surgeon or Planetary Assault Systems. Now a solo project and with his new sonic direction, Moteka meets once again the french label Skryptom and becomes one of its leading act, with a dark, percussive, hypnotic techno and perfectly mastered production skills. 
 
Always open-minded, some of his tracks bear an out-of-this-world onirism, such as the EP « Xyceon » released in 2015 on Skryptöm. Moteka is also a regular artist of London-based Children of Tomorrow records, where he signs his darkest and rawest tracks, like the EP «Trimethoxysilyl » released in 2015 and still heard in many sets, or the EP « Daneel Olivaw » in 2019, were he reconnects with a faster sound, and a permanent search for sonic avant-gardism. 
 
Moteka is one of the scene’s sought-after producer and his tracks are played by the biggest names : Paula Temple, who plays the track « Apogee » (Asgardia EP, Skryptöm 2018, co-produced with Hemka) in all her sets, Rodhad, Ben Sims or Kobosil to name a few. As a live expert, each of Moteka’s musical unique and unforgettable musical trip is always well received by the hypnotized audience. This is the main reason why in 2018, Pierre is offered to join the super band Möd3rn. 
In 2019, once again in his search of avant-gardism, Moteka presents his first album on Skryptom : «As we fought Iron Giants » an imaginary soundtrack of a techno-steam- punk tale, where every track illustrates the chapter of a heroic epic.

Kameu is one of the most active and hard-working technoheads in Lithuania. Having started his DJ career more than a decade ago he is constantly honing his mixing and selection skills within diverse venues and line-up contexts. This is clearly manifested in his affiliations with atmospheric and darker techno enthusiasts Black Wave and minimal.lt. Thus his sets could be heard in the wilderness of Lithuanian woods, among the concrete walls of underground nightclubs or even Boiler Room broadcast.
Kameu’s own sets are as diverse as his activities ranging from functional techno madness to immersive deeper sounds or even ambientish pulsations, from old-school to cutting-edge tracks. He carefully merges the sensibilities required for both listening and dancefloor experiences.

This mix was recorded live at Minimal Mondays event  - warming the dance floor for Odd Hills and SNCTR.

French artist Cavum is delivering a brilliant deep techno EP called Memoirs for our 10th release. 
Mixing ambient to rawer techno, this EP is the mirror of his love for both side of electronic music. Inspired by natural sounds, synthesis exploration, recordings ... he succeeds to mix that all together to offer a deep and smooth rhythmic trip.
In addition, Vardae already known from Allegorythme, reworked the track Cords in his proper way. A slow and very rhythmic vibe making the difference and perfectly completing this EP. 
On top of that, you can contemplate the beautiful artwork made by Thomas Le Mouroux experimenting 3D visuals.
