I Need Your Love

They say you find what you're looking for, the moment you stop looking for it.

BRii started taking voice lessons at the age of six, after a phone call home from a very excited and eager school music teacher. By age seven, with no fear, she was already performing in front of large audiences. The overwhelming positive response and excitement of live entertainment led BRii to theater. Throughout performing art schools, BRii became a veteran of the theater, performing in over 20 shows. She enjoyed playing various characters and challenging herself to become someone else. After meeting, her now manager, Louis, back stage in the wings during a college production, the pair began writing together in hopes of discovering her as a musical artist. And after four years of intensive writing sessions and experimenting with different sounds, the best route was still unclear. With no luck, the duo decided to focus their songwriting abilities on writing for others, and ironically the first song written was ‘Overdose’!

‘Overdose’, the first single off the upcoming EP, appropriately titled "BRii", sparked the fresh innovative sound that BRii had been looking for. Within the next five months the EP would be complete. With her powerful vocals, over intricate dance production, it was clear the stars had aligned. Using her past influences from a wide range of genres spanning from Theater to R&B, BRii sets herself apart from your typical dance artist. “ I want my music to reach a large and diverse audience, male or female, young or old, gay or straight, any race or religion, I want them to all get up and dance”. The final track on the EP titled “New Orleans”  is a ballad that pays homage to BRii’s original theatrical roots. This EP is a celebration of overcoming all the obstacles it took to make it, and reminds the listener to not let your dreams, be dreams.
