Mentored by Nile Rogers and nominated for an Ivor Novello award for her socio-political songwriting, she speaks to Annie about challenging the Anthropology curriculum at University College London, her activism and discusses whether the music industry has done enough one year on after George Floyd.

Rounding up her residency on BBC Asian Network, she speaks on becoming the representation in music that was missed growing up, how P Diddy was unknowingly her cultural landmark at school, the recent growth of the South Asian music scene and on her exploration of incorporating her South Asian culture into her DJ sets.
