This compilation is inspired by our collaboration with one of the most culturally relevant and timeless brands, Stussy. 

We've taken dozens of tracks into consideration to curate the finest selection of progressive music from around the world to bring visibility to the future sound. Because there is so much talent out there, it was challenging to pull this compilation together to showcase a progression and cohesive flow that reflects both Stussy and Soulection cultures respectively. 

You will see familiar official Soulection artists on this compilation as well some new talent from forward-thinking and ambitious producers, emcees and vocalists that we're excited about and feel have a bright future.

Our partnership with the iconic brand includes a 'Soulection Tribe' limited t-shirt designed by Stussy as well as a physical in-store event and after party at our Sound Of Tomorrow Los Angeles monthly at The Echoplex on 9.5.14.

These few months have been truly inspirational, with our movement gaining ground globally, forming new communities in different corners and interesting opportunities unfolding. It is to say the least, extremely gratifying to know that despite staying pretty much under the radar and not dabble heavily in that PR game, we can still evolve and touch others simply by sticking to our guns - that music should be diverse and expressed in various forms. 

To celebrate that diversity, we have put together a special compilation showcasing where our ideas are at right now. More importantly, it's a chance to introduce our entire roster, which has grown exponentially with the likes of Moods, Sh?m, KA-YU, Jasper Staal and Kerem Akdag. Its slightly unfortunate that Giorgio Oehlers is unable to make it for this compilation due to certain domestic commitments, but we feel what we have here strongly represents the ethos of DTW.

Also included in this comp are some up and comers whom we felt deserve a chance to be given the spotlight and share their sounds with a greater audience. Make a point to listen to Versailles the Everything - she's a really fresh singer / rapper out of Florida, US and has blown our ears and minds with everything that she's doing.

So we will leave it as that, and hope this collection inspires and moves you, as much as it does for us. For our regular listeners, it will occupy another essential spot in your DTW collection. For our new listeners, welcome to the DTW universe - it is only just expanding. :)

Coming to us from Birmingham, England – just north of London,19 year old ROM who has been producing and playing guitar since he was 9, delivers 3 distinct tracks for the 18th installation of our White Label Series.

Inspired by late 90s and early 2000s RnB and jazz, ROM’s diverse production style he calls “ROMderful” also pulls from orchestral music, nature, and for this project he tells us “mainly happiness and good vibes”.

Laced with heavy bass, an uptempo sensibility and wavy chord progressions, ROM brings in singer Emmavie and producer DEFFIE to add their complimentary sounds to this already bubbling White Label installation.
