The process of writing "Iris" started by designing the main lead. I'm originally just holding down one note only, but created changing frequency peaks that I tweaked by ear to point out certain pitches I wanted to hit. This enabled me to create a melody. It ended up just slightly out of tune which gave it an imperfect but beautiful character. It reminded me of how imperfect yet beautiful our planet is. The "Iris" flower resembles the imperfectness with its unsymmetrical blossom and is said to symbolize faith and hope.
