AEROBIKA #2 feat. Female Driver @ Veneno Radio

Rave Dreams will soon become a reality. In the meantime, Amanda Mussi channels her vision of a better future for ravers through an EP that follows her rough n’ ready style of production that was previously featured on LPZ Records.

Amanda is one of the leaders of the burgeoning Latin American dance scene thanks to her involvement in the Sao Paulo and Asuncion rave movements. Her work as a solo artist is featured for the first time for the label with two choice cuts of 140+ BPM techno. Frantic beats, arpeggios, melodic synth lines and the odd vocal sample feature on both 'Rave Dreams' & 'Rave Chant' showcasing her talent for the dancefloor.

LPZ, the trio, go heavy on the remixes with each member of the group dwelling into their own sound to raise the bar even higher. Octavio shows his hypnotic dancefloor style on his remix of 'Rave Dreams' , whilst 'Rave Chant' is tackled by P. Lopez who goes for a banging techno rework and Cosmo Lopez closes with a 90's jungle re- interpretation of the same track.

All in all an EP that should keep everyone in the rave family happy whilst we wait for better days.

Combining several genres and sounds in techno and house music, São Paulo DJ, producer, curator and label/agency boss Amanda Mussi has been working hard to bring something fresh and new to the dance-floor for the past 11 years. Amanda is known as a strong presence in the queer underground music scene in her home town São Paulo where she held a monthly party for many years and is a resident at some of the best events in Brazil: Mamba Negra and Dando since the very beginning; she also often appears as a guest at events like Boiler Room, DGTL, Gop Tun Festival, Photon, Tantsa, and others around South America, such as Fiesta Dame in Chile. She has taken her sound on the road to many cities around the world, performing next to artists like Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Ben Klock, Volvox, Ellen Alien and many others. Now she is based in between Berlin, São Paulo and Asunción (Paraguay) where she grew up and has a solid connection with the local scene and also is a resident at Tango Club.

Amanda is also a very known presence in New York, playing for many years at Unter, and in Europe where she performs frequently at Berghain, being one of the first female Brazilian DJs to play there on the main floor for several times, and recently doing her first closing. Amsterdam also became a second home for her, where she constantly plays at IsBurning and Vault Sessions. Her music releases started in the past 6 years with her Paraguayan crew from LPZ Records, and right after she featured on labels like Renato Cohen’s Massa Records, The Lady Machine/Decka's Unterwegs, PG Tune and Planet X. Her recently launched label, Macro Hits held a monthly residency on The Lot Radio in NYC for almost 2 years and keeps focusing on releasing Latinamerican dance music talents. In between shows and producing, Amanda runs the .alt bookings agency, a collective dedicated to promoting cultural exchanges in South America’s dance music scene; which allows her to collaborate with world wide artists, and brings together many scenes from the globe.

Amanda Mussi is a São Paulo-born DJ, producer, and curator, known for blending techno, acid, breaks, and house into fresh, dynamic sets. A key figure in the queer underground scene, Amanda ran the influential Dûsk party for five years and is now a resident at top Brazilian events like Mamba Negra, Dando, and Kode. 

In the past four years, Amanda has released music on labels such as LPZ, Massa Records, and The Lady Machine’s Unterwegs, while also co-founding Macro Hits, with a monthly residency on The Lot Radio in NYC. Amanda also heads .alt bookings, a collective promoting cultural exchange in South America’s underground scene, fostering collaborations with artists worldwide.

Always the best vibes when Amanda plays. After numerous apperances at IsBurning, it’s now time for a podcast, combining the sounds of techno, acid, breaks and house. São Paulo based DJ, producer and label/agency boss Amanda Mussi works hard to bring something fresh to the dancefloor. 

This mix is a great example of combining sounds and bringing something fresh, mostly known for her technosets. For the podcast she’s starting with dubby chords, lurking us in to some sleezy house, with acid influences. Everytime you think you’ll get the direction, she misleads you in the most funky danceable way.

This track has such a nostalgic jackin vibe from NYC's house music and reminds me how great the scene is there, Devoye is a talented nice guy and this was released in a compilation curated by The Carry Nation, which are true legends from there, in Nervous Records which is one of the oldest NYC's record labels, since the 90's. This tune is sassy and fun, yet badass, one of my favorites from last year.
