Concrete Collage is a modern thinking record label focused on releasing quality underground electronic musicians.

This first release from Concrete Collage is the fruit of a collaboration between the heads of the label, Olivier Elfezzani and Julien Guillot. More know as Ohmwerk and Stazma, they both have created acid oriented side projects called respectively Acydroid and Repeat Eater; Droid Eater is the combination of those two.

We recently received a alien transmition from space. It emanated from a giant being called the Woodpecking Mantis. Here is what he said, as well as a musical transcription of it : 

"The wire is plugged in the dreads-port among the abundant long dark hairs and an interface pops out in front of smeary eyes.
The data stream is flowing for a brain massage and other biotechs calibrations of the team, but corruption of the packets occurs, causing malfunctions in the augmentations.
The redirections of neurostim would be the only way to avoid the takeover on the customized bodies.
Inevitably, the mouth opens and bursts of spectral artifacts tones alerts the others that it's too late.
Actions already has no effects on the last step.

Mr John Wells aka Anorak makes his first appearance on Concrete Collage with a collection of hits. 

Being a local hero to the Bristol rave scene for many years, rinsing out a super high tempo mix of broken Jungle, Acid and Hardcore, John gives us here a quieter take on his musical journey. 

Retaining his signature powerful production, he focuses more on melancholic/playful melodies, superfunky basslines and weirdo alien sounds rather than hardcore kicks or broken breakbeats. 

We have been very impressed by the quality of this first step in a new direction, we can only hope for more in the future!

For this year #909day 909 means 707 + 202 at Concrete Collage head quarter !

"Here is the story behind these five tracks. I wanted to record a
TR-707 sample pack for myself (and later the label) and had the opportunity to borrow the machine from a friend, Mr. Handicap Record (hello François !).
When stopping by his studio I noticed his MC-202 in a corner, not plugged in, so I asked him if I could borrow it along with the drum machine.

One hour later I'm in my studio with the two things plugged in, starting to mess around with the horrible / amazing sequencer on the 202 and some beats from the 707. At the end of the day I had finished one track and recorded so many lines with the two machines that I could make a few others.
Over the next five days I continued and wrote a track each day keeping only the two machines as sound sources. I had so much fun I thought I would make a record out of it !

And here it is ! A majestic ode to the end of the 80s / early 90s electronic music scene, with a bit of acid, a bit of rave, some glitchy beats and shitload of not...  more

Fifth track from the upcoming "Can't Call You Back" by Zeuge. This particular one being a collaboration with M.E.R.S.

We go full hard and weird for this new Concrete Collage release!Pleased to be welcoming Zeuge to our little family.

Coming from Belarus, living in Hamburg for a few years already, he has been an active member of the European Breakcore scene, releasing quite a few Eps on labels such as Abstrakt Reflections, Peace Off and Bankizz.

His style is very brutal, spasmodic and abstract at the same time, mixing elements of IDM, glitch and Gabber, all broken and mashed to an extreme level. Remnants of Acid and Jungle can also be heard, making this surprising cut and paste madness “party-friendly” as well!

This album is punctuated with short experiments recorded on modular synthesizers, called “Logfiles,” ranging from Industrial Noise to weird Trap, giving some breath in between the moments of violence from the main tracks.

With a collaboration from the Belgian producer M.E.R.S, a remix by fxbip as well as a track from Stazma The Junglechrist remixed by Zeuge; it is also a crew effort we present to you.

It's been a long time coming to say the least but here is the first Stazma full length album in more than 10 years.

"Shapeshifter takes it's name from my will to move forward. Trying not to repeat the same formula over and over, giving new shapes to my music whilst retaining a
breakcore attitude.

This album is an exploration of all the music that I have enjoyed the most over the last five years. I had to digest a lot of different influences and let myself
break from my habits to create all those tracks."

A new transmission has reached us from the Woodpecking Mantis galaxy.

It seems our favorite alien insects is a little bit less angry than when we first encoutered him, but he still has some weird things to say. It also decided to speak to us for longer than last time and divided his synthesized speech in no less than eight time frames.

We can hear that our galactic friend is getting used to this musical language of ours. Heavily tortured breakbeats and analog drum machines are his main way of talking but FM sparkles and acid drips are never too far.

We are happy to deliver this message to you !
