Ohne-ka and the Burning River was formed in the early fall of 2010. The question of style was to come second following their desire to create music from the heart and inspired by long time friendship.
  Plagued early on by the passing of an original member. The band was thrust onto a path of necessary expression. With the addition of drummer Steven Glor at this time, guitarists Adam Althoff, David Sax, and bassist Ryan Jones were able to begin to sift through their shared emotions. 
  Together, carving out a sound that fell somewhere between post-rock instrumental soundscapes, 90's tinged shoe-gaze, and some classic rock styling. 
 Ohne-ka released their first full length "Where the Real Wind Blows" in 2012 as an homage and are eagerly awaiting the release of their new album this fall.
