After a show one morning, a friend stopped me on my way out of the venue and told me something I would never forget. With a smile on his face, he looked me in the eye and said, “The sky’s the limit for you”. It was a kind gesture indeed, but something about that phrase rubbed me in a strange way. After thanking the friend, I dove into a state of deep contemplation. I thought to myself, “If people have been to the moon, why is the sky the limit for me”? The increasing tension between my heart and mind sparked the idea of my song, “Sky’s Not The Limit”. “Truth is...” I thought to myself, “with the power of love, nothing is impossible.” Love goes beyond whatever mental rationale we use to water down our anything but mediocre dreams. I want to inspire people to dream big, and I believe that’s exactly what this song will do. Apollo 11 (as pictured in the album art) means a lot to me because that mission was an expression of humanity looking impossibly, social norms, and that teacher that said we can’t in the face and saying, “What now?” lol! I hope this song unlocks people’s potential to dream beyond average means. Also, special thanks to Brian for the kind words ;-).
