The beginning of his musical-drum interests go back to the childhood and mother’s kitchen, when he used to drum the “kitchens instruments”. Later on, he continued using the music programs offered by Playstation (1+2) and Re-Birth 2.0 on PC.

back then (1990), everything started with the Boogie Down Production and automatically went over to KRS-One („Zulu Nation“). Both are still in my ears today, very cool in my opinion, also to the one or other MTB tour :). I grew up with this teacha of East-Coast Hip-Hop/Rap, so to speak, which is why the upload is a special pleasure for me.

Mit der Boogie Down Production lief bei mir damals (1990) alles los und ging automatisch über in KRS-One („Zulu Nation“). Beide halten sich bis heute, gerne auf MTB-Touren, in meinen Ohren. Mit diesem „Teacha“ des East-Coast Hip-Hop/Rap bin ich sozusagen groß geworden, weshalb mir dieser Mix-Upload hier ein besonderes Vergnügen ist.

New on Pharmacom Records is Ohrchitekt's "EXP-DNB-Set" - an approx. 52 minutes non stop journey into his specific Drum'n'Bass realm which is jam-like, lead by non standard beats and breaks, Electronica influences and some Electro and Downtempo breakdowns. Some will call it Leftfield Drum'n'Bass, some will name it as experimental, which is what "EXP" in the albums title stands for I reckon, and some will refer to it as IDM or DarkJungle rather than Drum'n'Bass. But whatever definition you choose, this one is interesting and defo stands out from what your everyday producer serves on 12" these days. Recommended to open minded people and not to those who expect UK-standards whenever they think of experimental Drum'n'Bass these days.
