Flipping through hundreds of Ableton Live projects from the 2010s, deleterolf finds forgotten ideas and brings them back to life. Through a practice of reimagining and reinterpreting the discarded and (almost) deleted, Rolf Laureijs crafts emotionally raw yet thoughtfully produced pop songs. Stemming from what is both a creative play with signs and meanings, as well as a self-healing dialogue with a younger self, deleterolf's music evokes an ambiguous sense of nostalgia – as if listening to your long forgotten TEENAGE ANGST RADIO SONGS.

Binary Sunset’s new EP, Fin d'été, captures the fleeting melancholy of late summer. It opens with Ça tourne, a feel-good launch from the 10-metre diving board—only to come crashing back to reality with the wistful second song, Laisser tomber.

Primrose is the name of this song by Jon Hood, and it is the first single from their upcoming album Pieces of Reality, their first LP since 2017. Like many songs from this collection, Primrose tells of transformation: the humble flower becoming music, and its metamorphosis serving as a mantra for the band.

So, while we were looking elsewhere, Jon Hood from Switzerland was out in the night, working on a sound that imagines silvery moonlight as a Stereolab-y disco, made of analogue drums and digital guitar, psychedelic manure, shining on the dewy meadows and awakening the evening primrose. It’s a perfect glimpse of what’s to come.
