The time is 01:30AM on Wednesday, sitting in my small, self-made bedroom-studio, filled with creativity and had the sudden urge to make an amapiano remix of Umlilo by DJ Zinhle.

the year is 2017, my first year at TUT. filled with brilliant musicians who have tons of experience while i was fresh outta high school (NSA), and i was the youngest ANYTHING in my department. that was my very first encounter with Jazz music. i got thrown into the deep-end when i was instructed to be in the african-jazz ensemble. after months of struggle & confusion, i got to understand its significance & appreciated music on whole new level.

temporary inconvenience is a wonderful song written by the South African Jazz Pioneer, Jonas Gwangwa. we got to play this song and i immediately fell inlove w it.
