Rising artist in the French underground scene and co-founder of the CULTE label, Max Tenrom is not only a DJ and producer. He's also a talented musician. Already released on many renowned labels and accustomed to Top Beatport, Max claims a very varied universe and style which can range from Downtempo to Techno. His current style is hard to label as he uses his many influences to create his own craft. Giving emotions remains the most important anyway. On stage live or Dj Set, he mixes synthesizers, electronic machines and acoustic percussion. The meeting of these different sounds combined with the energy of the percussion offers a real artistic and organic performance.

The track "Earth" was made around the vocal. I really wanted to set this beautiful Jason Momoa's speech to music.
It's a cry of alert from our planet, we can feel the emergency and the despair that results.
"Souk Story" is much more happy and takes you directly to a noisy and warm Souk from Maghreb.
Enjoy this exotic visit full of oriental sonorities and dynamic rhythms.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Al-Bedol is small Bedouin tribe whose members reside in two locations in South Jordan: in and around the ancient city of Petra, and in the region of Humayama. The subtribes of Bedul are al-Fugara, al-Judelat and al-Muwasa with the last further divided into al-Jamada and al-Samahin. The tribe has been mostly pastoral, although they have also practiced seasonal farming. Due to their economy, they have not been very mobile. The seasonal migration was described by Canaan: In the winter season they spend between two and three months in the caves of Petra; in the spring they encamp around the wadis, while the summer is spent at the tops of the high mountains of Petra or on one of the surrounding ridges. The tribe had the distinctive habit of using the ancient rock-cut tombs of Petra as their homes. The caves provided them shelter and cover during the cool winter months when they stayed in Petra. The economy was based almost exclusively on herding goats and few camels. P A N can guide you to the love of Petra. This is his first offering for Shango Records. What is CULTE ? It's first a collective created by four buddies (Karmaâ, the duo Bamdara (Ioritz Urriolabeitia and Max Tenrom) and myself, Emorine), all passionate by the diversity of ethnic music through downtempo. We are convinced that music can also share love and good vibes, that's why we are also launching a label.

The first ep is composed by one original track from Karmaâ (3000Grad) and 3 remixes from Mula, Bamdara and Emorine. It will be released the 28th of november, and in order to get more visibility, we are looking for some Premieres. All the profits will go to the association « les puits du désert » who helps people to acces to water in Niger.

The drum, the mythical dance, and the help of those present at this worship (their belief in the shaman)-"Ongo" is trance, the state of excitement, accompanied by dances and "Kamlanié", rambling mumbling and incantation of the spirits.
To become a shaman, a man must inherit this gift from one of his ancestors. It is called "Utkha". From the root and essence of the Shaman, the spirits themselves come to the one they have chosen. An innate skill passed down from heavenly beings and then ancestors to shamans in order to exercise their mystical gift."

A pioneer of classical music from northern India in Mexico, Sidartha began his preparation playing piano, before moving on to Afro-Cuban percussions at the National School of Art in La Habana, where he graduated with honors in 1994. He got a scholarship in 1995 to study at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya University in India, where he obtained a bachelor degree in sitar and tabla, and there he had the great opportunity to study for four years with the famous Ravi Shankar.

We  would like to thank all the artists who contributed to this project which is very dear to us. 
This compilation is the result of a long collaboration, artistic exchanges and moreover passion for music with exceptional producers who have blown their inspiration and interpretation into the universe of O'Utkha.
