As Mëi describes himself: I have always been a huge Depeche Mode fan, as a kid I used to lock myself in my room and play their cassetes while drawing. As a teenager I used to have a band that did some covers of their music so when I started making techno music. I knew I wanted to make an edit one day and I also  knew it had to be this one, enjoy the silence.

The beloved identical twin duo, Lunar Plane makes their highly awaited return to Stil vor Talent with a new EP, aptly titled 'Waiting.' This EP serves as the highly anticipated follow-up to their previous collaboration with Daniel Rateuke, released in 2019. A throwback to their early steps in the music scene, this new EP connects the dots between the uplifting artlessness of their juvenilia with the full-grown precision of their most recent pieces. After a string of contributions to the catalogues of Anjunabeats, Disco Halal and 2DIY4, then followed by a few months turning their attention to digital art as a way to get their second wind during the pandemic, Emre and Mert serve up an EP that sums up their all-embracing, dance-focussed paradigm. Fevered and adventurous to the bone.

Fleshed out with big room-ready muscle and sustained tension throughout, the title-track and lead single 'Waiting' is a slice of catchy, dreampop-infused EBM bound to satisfy both the raver and escapist in you. Featuring their own vocals on a track for the first time, this one fuses everything you'd expect from a quality dance floor roller: high impact and elevation laced into an epic narrative. A versatile weapon which may as well be your ideal companion for a run out in the woods, as it obviously proves deadly in peak-time club context.

'Je Danse' extrapolates the darker facet of Lunar Plane's musical genius, enhanced by the mystique-imbued vocals that contribute to a deeper, powerfully hypnotic experience. Sezer Uysal adds an eerie mystery and a seriously thunderous punch to this ghoulish hybrid of a track. Zombie workout mode activated. Topping off the journey, 'Above' encompasses both the melancholic and energetic sides of Lunar Plane's dual signature sound to a T. A melodic crescendo that keeps on gaining momentum as bar go by, complete with the exotic flute bursts, poignant piano chords and robust sub-bass swashes. Back to where it all started.

This year, we are thrilled to continue our Collage EP Series, featuring an exciting collection of tracks by various talented artists on each release. In this particular edition, we present an extraordinary lineup including Betoko feat. SevenEver, Rob Hes and Joey White, If I, and Evan De Novellis. "Life" by Betoko, featuring the mesmerizing vocals of SevenEver, unfolds as a progressive masterpiece, showcasing Betoko's distinctive uplifting signature sound. "Tacama" by Rob Hes and Joey White takes on a melancholic and emotional tone, characterized by expansive pads and leads that seem to stretch into eternity. On his newest single, 'Own Me', Stil vor Talent boss Oliver Koletzki joins forces with Talmirage to deliver a magnetic missive of a tune. Geared up for extensive DJ use, this blazing piece of retro-laced synth pop, EBM and techno interlaced comes in two versions: the original and the club mix.

A pure 80s-infused pop number leaning towards Pet Shop Boys or Depeche Mode at their most gleeful and funky, the original mix reels off a nostalgic fusion of dazzling machine glimmer, ingenuous tune-making, textured vocals and playful Andean pipes all played from a vintage VHS flick. Trading the original's shimmering synth effervescence for a brooding post-industrial atmosphere and a steel-clad punch, the club version has us zoning out to a menacing floor scenario, all in thunderous echoes and rogue basswaves from the deep, rolling and crashing before eventually hatching into a further euphoric, psychedelic pop-friendly conclusion.
