Insomnia and the Infinite

It was a quiet Wednesday afternoon the kind where the world slows down just enough to let you breathe. Rain was falling gently outside, tapping against the windows like a soft rhythm only nature could compose. 

I was sitting by the window with a cup of something warm, lost in the sound, when inspiration quietly slipped in. I started playing a few piano notes, letting them wander like the rain itself. 

Then came the violins, soft and thoughtful. 

My wife, always with the perfect instinct, leaned over and said, 
“What if you added some cello?” and she was right. 
This piece came together in that peaceful moment, a little gift from the rain, and from love.

Our first *full* draft of the song. I wrote this with Kiệt and YES we wrote this *almost* love song from long distance too (keepin things real lol).
Recorded with my iphone 6, in a hotel room, Saigon, April 2018
