Greetings Earthling!

This is not our first flight into the great unknown. And it won’t be our last for sure. 
Darkness all around, only broken by billions of little dots of light. 
No fear, only wonder.

Guided by the ever so mysterious Danger Dave we fuelled our cosmic vehicle and set the coordinates for an unknown galaxy. 

Why? 

Because earth is (always) facing imminent attacks by space monsters and Dave is not only experienced on the drums, but also in interstellar travels and ray guns. With all the terrors earth itself holds, he started training for this expedition at a young age, thinking “If everyone is just looking what is happening around them, who will protect us from the dangers that hide behind that curtain of stars?”. 

Accompanied by old companions and accomplished cadets Gun!lla, Oilst, mf jaeger and malauke the danger will be reduced to a bare minimum. How lucky we are to have these heroes and with your support the mission will be a full success.

Hintergrund
Im April 2012 hat ein streunender Hund unser feierfreudiges Grüppchen drei Tage lang durch das Nachtleben geführt. Geduldig hat die gute Seele, welche wir bald auf den Namen Flöhund tauften, vor jeder Bar und jeder Tanzveranstaltung auf uns gewartet, um uns schnurstracks zur nächsten Kneipe oder der nächsten Discotheke zu bringen. 
So beharrlich hat er uns begleitet, dass wir ihm den Eintritt in den letzten Club bezahlten und ihn jetzt im kalten Zürcher Winter vermissen. Deshalb eine Ode an den Floehund. Ich hoffe er tapst und swingt auch jetzt gerade durch die Strassen von Belgrad!

Finally, I managed to press the record button. This summer was full of wonderful experiences at Irubo (Kauz), Doubt (Katerblau), Circles & Stones Summer Party (Katerblau), Am Bach Festival, Zugvögel Festival and Summer Bar by Kauz. 
All those sets would have been worth an upload and therefore, I decided to upload one to represent them all. Can you guess which one it is? 

I’m grateful for this beautiful summer and to all the lovely people who helped to make it possible. Thanks to @doubtdoubt, @circlesandstones, @kauzmusik, @irubo, @ambachfestival, @friendlyconnections, @zugvoegelfestival for inviting me.

Oilst # Live Set # Summer 2022

Water can be the most fun to play in or a burden to keep your head above.
You could get lost on the open sea or be let by a river.
There are calm and troubled times.
It connects and devides.
No matter what, water is life.
And can be a threat to it.

Once again we are happy to release a long awaited collaboration from two of our darest musicians. The fusion of @judith-ahrends  unique tiptoe groove and dreamlike vocals with @oilst deep vibes gave us chills from the first drafts. Two synthie wizards in unity.
The remix duties were distributed to amazing @dangerrrave, @deisenmusic, @malikfaquir, @ohxala and @isaacsoto.

This EP is a perfect example how music knows no limits as it connects musicians from Mexico, Portugal, Mozambique, North America, Switzerland and Germany.

About a year after Simon Kwe remixed Rolf Saxer's „Dust“ the two artists team up to take it slower with „Ritual“. Afternoon: Analog drums & synths, raw textures of oud-like patterns and polyrhythmic percussion loops pair with a slow but yet driving bassline. The instruments are set in a free-flowing arrangement and generate an undeniable hypnotic quality. Think down tempo shamanism at your favourite daytimer.
Dusk: Matija is one of Zurichs dancefloor veterans, keeping it fresh since years. He adds a „Carpenter meets Pachanga Boys“-quality with a beautiful synth pad and some extra bass-sounds. You can't listen without thinking of the sun starting to set over the best outdoor rave you've ever been to. Night time: König Balthasar's version drags you into the vortex of endless delays and filter sweeps. While one might think Matija celebrates the fading daytime Balthasar provides the crowd with this most peculiar way-past-midnight-thrills. Dawn: Enter Oilst, part of the Irubo family and one half of the Wandervogel-Duo. His remix showcases an irresistible groove and swing with some extra percussion, a 16th note synth-shuffle and intriguing lead sounds. Feel the sun rise with this one?
