From the land of candy paint and purple drank Oi Polloi proudly presents Joey B's Straight Swangin 4, the latest instalment in the series. 

A Manchester stalwart and one of the gentlemen behind the long running Hotmilk and Swing Ting club nights, Joey's provided us with a raucous collection of what's currently making suspension struts rattle in the Southern states and Bay Area of California.

With the weatherman telling us that we might as well be living in a southern state  of the US currently; crack open a Vimto blend it with that Calpol (not advisable), polish the rims upon your whip of choice and take a ride; air horns at the ready.

Our good friend Macca has been really impressing us lately down at his regular Friday night at Soup Kitchen, we decided to invite him over to spin a few with us at this months Pica Sounds. This mix he recorded just for us is an inspiring journey through the best of electronic industrial sounds spanning 3 decades, and all on vinyl no less! Needless to say we will probably spend most of the night rifling through his record bag...

Pica Sounds Mix by Macca

In commemoration of 4 years worth of parties, the lads at Cutloose have put together this genre hopping mixtape. Aiming to squeeze the sounds of a 5-hour club session into a 1-hour mix is never an easy task, but 'New York City Bump' manages just that, moving from Bob James to Bobby Konders with panache.

The birthday itself takes place this Saturday (20.10.12) down at The Roadhouse, an ESP Institute Party with Lovefingers [Los Angeles | Blackdisco| ESP] and Jonny Nash [ESP | Land of Light] at the control tower.
