Back when I was in school, I was moved by a specific scene in the later seasons of One Tree Hill, where Peyton paints the lyrics of this song all across the basketball court, as a message for Lucas. I really loved Peyton and Lucas. Despite hating Lucas, and their history being insanely messy, their broody emo soulmatism got me.

In the summer of 2023, I got obsessed with The Cure, thanks to the existential crisis that their song 'The Kiss' gave me. And then I finally properly listened to 'Lovesong'. This song is a mantra, it keeps coming back to haunt me. It feels like the most resolute message in the world.

just thought I'd post a little sing song to show that I'm alive, it's been sleeping in the private part of my soundcloud because I wasn't fully satisfied with my lyric delivery (being french, lyrics in english isn't always easy)... but I guess it's not the worst thing I've done on here so why not. I don't have recording equipment where I live at the moment so unfortunately I can't record anything but I'm hoping to do more soon !
