Halfpastseven combines the beauty of organic instrumental music with the love of beatmaking and sampling. The studied jazz pianist is strongly inspired by Funk, Neo-Soul and modern instrumentalists like Paak or Kiefer. His sloppy laid back feel, carefully picked chord progressions and captivating melodies are the producers trademarks. His divers influences show themselves in the variety of styles he produces. His Album 'Bedroom Jams' showcases Halfpastseven's love for music, detail and collaboration. In his Bedroom he recorded his colleague's saxophones, drums, vocals and guitars, giving the project a live Jam-like feeling without losing the loop and sample-based gritty aesthetic of Hip-Hop.
