“Ojoooo, how excited I was when Menica asked me to do this podcast. Doing something completely different from club music is out of my comfort zone, but quickly I realized how much fun it is mixing up different tempos while maintaining a relaxed vibe. A big part of the records was found while keeping my ears wide open during my internship at Crevette, constantly picking fresh fruits. I started with some more breaky jazzy tracks but quickly, the mood changes into a deeper downtempo mix, finally ending with a slightly higher pace. Enough chit-chat, let the music speak and have a listen. Thanks for having me Ojoo friends!"

"I recorded this mix on a cozy evening with my favourite bottle of red & some nice mood lighting after a lovely trip back from Vinly-Vanguard in east London. A record shop run by 2 jazz enthusiasts with a fine taste for wax. Funnily enough 90% of tracks in this mix I discovered there over the years. Josh (@soundcloud.com/josh-t-music) is certainly one of the most ecletic selectors (and DJs) out there. Whether in his mobile record shop (now dysfunct unfortunately), with his buddie James as "The Ghost", or flying solo: the amount of quality records that have gone through this man's hand is close to unmatched.

For 5918mins., Josh unpacks a mix unlike anything we have ever heard before. It is hard to pin down genre-, or time-wise, but it is safe to say that it is up there with our favorite mixes of all time. His approach feels very patient, yet goes from organic to synthetic, from uplifting to drowzy and back within 80 minutes. Maybe it is the reappearing pockets of breathing space, the passages of insightful, beautiful vocals - or maybe, we'll never really know and just enjoy.

PREMIERE: Mystic Future - Break The Cycle [Nightflight]

Our 25th reference is finally here as a special edition including an array of artists with a common denominator: the genre Acid. It thus becomes a tribute to this particular style which has been a significant influence for Dance Music as a whole. 
Four artists deliver four Acid-inspired tracks with the aim to delight House tempo-oriented ravers. 

Mystic Future is the result of Lil Van and Yannick Robbins union: two experienced and significantly active DJs, who have joint forces from Barcelona and Berlin, in order develop a concept with an Electro air to it, and which is perfectly reflected on Day & Night, the opening track for the record. 

MarioF takes part on a VVAA once more, with a track which, despite having been produced five years ago, has become a killer hit in his live performances. AcidCtrack strikes as both, a chill-inducing tune and a wakeup call for the most primitive instincts on the dance floor. 

We would also like to greet Bunsen, an old-time Acid lover and a true must in this compilation. Advanced Spoon Research staggers between low BPM Trance music with an epic edge to it, analogical sounds, and a suggestive use of effects. 

The last track comes all the way from Seville and it is the work of Fonome’s craftiness and ability. Pleading for the party not to end by means of this Progressive tune, leading to a sound labyrinth where one just wants to remain lost.

Ojoo are intimate gatherings with dedicated DJ's playing whatever they like for a crowd where everyone can feel welcome.  A series of events bringing forward-thinking underground electronic music with a sincere passion for vinyl . We need our music to be challenging and innovative and hold a high appreciation for artistic individuality (as opposed to hypes or trends) with the utmost respect for the veteran artists who over the years continuously maintain a standard that we greatly appreciate. We need a connection between artist and dancer, so the small and intimate venues is where you will find us.

RECORD LABEL
The idea of creating a platform that supports artists we stand for would not be complete without an opportunity to share their music with the world. To offer this, we started with the record label to release music that we believe should be heard and shared for people to enjoy, clubbers to dance and DJ's to play. 

The passion for the original craft of spinning tunes, that certain pleasure in the effort when playing and a love for the classic physical format has led us to release on vinyl only.

In the summer of 2019 our first EP ‘Club Rotation’ by ‘Session 4000’ was released. The second one in October 2019 by ‘Gols’. His first EP is appropriately titled ‘Delay is Okay’ referring to the time it took before opting to release one of his productions.
