Last we heard from M.i., he was recounting a breezy summer romance on Sundress Pt. 2, a reader-approved joint off Republic Records’ The Basement Chronicles: Chapter 1 compilation. Turns out that’s not the only comp album to feature some dope, never-before-heard material from the Austin native; Ok-Tho.com‘s forthcoming collection will pack an unreleased record titled “The Trip.” On this joint, premiering on DJBooth as the project’s latest single, a synth-driven DP beat backs the artist as he describes a mind-expanding encounter with the powerful psychedelic known as DMT. Also featuring fresh cuts from Jarell Perry, Jered Sanders, JSWISS and many more, Nostalgia is slated to drop digitally at a yet-undetermined date in the near future.

M.i - The Trip (prod By DP)

OK-Tho Records presents it's first act, singer songwriter Harrison Sands, whom hails from the sunny state of California. As a multi-talented artist, Harrison released his debut album "Pillow Talk" this past May which features an array of beautiful love songs blended with influences from pop to hip hop to indie, but all meshes well into what we call glitch pop. 

The single "Chesire" is about the early stages of falling in love with someone. That complete infatuation with them. The all consuming way that person invades your every thought throughout the day. Basically the way that just their smile brings you to your knees.

Produced by fellow native and label mate Nomad who provides the production for the entire album, "Chesire" serves as the first release from the project and will be followed up by the official video soon.

Meet Toronto MC 'Asun Eastwood'

Toronto's own Asun Eastwood is best described as “Provocative”.  He vividly paints dramatic pictures over loopy-hypnotic-bass riddled samples allowing the listener to get a glimpse of his gritty but luxurious lifestyle. 
His story is like a critically acclaimed film. Having faced the loss of a brother, getting shot, stabbed and left for dead.  Asun still stands strong and realizes that all of the misfortunes have led him to his purpose, music.

Just recently Asun dropped his debut single "Everything" which features some additional raw vocals from New York standout Conway over production from Uncle D.O.E.. The single is a lead up to his debut EP NIMBUS.

"Things Change" is a reflective song in which Danny emotionally honors a dear friend of his whom had passed away in November. The two were childhood neighbors who skateboarded everyday, but commonly struggled with drug abuse. The death had given Danny a wake up call to straighten up himself. 

Of the song he states "its kind of like a stream of consciousness for me just expressing how losing him made me feel and changed my whole perspective on things. I've always considered myself a very unlucky person but this kind of woke me up that life is about actions".

Over the melodic guitar riffs, he pours his heart out emotionally putting himself at some blame while also acknowledging his own mistaken life choices. You can definitely feel the pain but you can also hear the beauty as he smoothly glides his voice which bares a dope blend of singing and rapping.
