Zouk for the Soul

Hey Fam, It’s been 4 years since I’ve wanted to come to Zouk Mass and every year some other challenge happened. This year I finally made it! And OMG what a beautiful event! The sense of family and community just completely took over me since the beginning!! 🥰🥰 Big props to Zdenek and team for making this happen! 🙌

I’m definitely always a dancer first, DJ second. So this event, after a long time… I really wanted to just sit back, relax, dance, and connect with my zouk family (pun intended 😊). But I was also very inspired to also gift a special DJ set for this beautiful venue and my much-loved fam. 

So after a lot of research and brainstorming ideas, music, themes ….  around the ideas of: church, holy space, healing, family, community, uncoditional love, compassion…. 

I settled down on the theme to give an internally spiritual set that can take people through their heart to find deeper feelings and meanings within themselves.  (I will talk more about this set’s creation process in my WhatsApp channel below) 

I wish everyone could join this journey, but I know a specialty set/music set like this can’t appeal to everyone, and it’s rather more for those souls who are interested & willing to take on this journey at that time and place…

So…. If you were able to take take this journey with me, let me tell ya… I’m honored!!  I truly thank you for your trust and vulnerability to go on this road with me!  🙏🙌🙌🙌 I would love to hear from you, how was it for you, what came up, what was your process… 😊

Sunday night 1:30am set in the second room
On one hand the weekend went by quicker than a blink of an eye, on another hand it felt a like a life-time of delicious connection, joy, and pure beauty!
Wouldn’t be possible if Daniel, Domenika, and all hardworking team didn’t put their heart and soul into this event.
It’s definitely an emotional day for me, lack of proper sleep def amps things up 😅. So for processing, started listening to my set from Sunday night (Theme: Healing Journey), and then was thinking why don’t I share this with everyone else as well, maybe it can help you in processing too.
p.s. I’ve never posted a set so fast haha, so somethings changing 😅
