AntahKarana - Feelings Session

We have the pleasure to share the beautiful DJ-mix; "The Flat-Earther Astronaut" by The little Medusa, who was born and raised in Iran, where there are tons of limits on musicians and the music itself. However that couldn't stop her from following her heart which had been beating for music. She began her journey as a DJ in 2009 in the country where parties are thrown underground!
Back then, her educational background was electronics engineering and she had no musical experience at all, but she would feel it, running through her veins and that fuelled her up to go for it despite all obstacles! She had been playing in parties with a big fear of getting arrested every single time. Over time she decided that she no longer tended to risk her freedom and ended up letting go of her passion.
That didn't last long though. She moved to Dubai and after years of effort to get back on her feet again, she started with learning music from the basic level, learning how to work with Ableton Live and producing her own music.
Currently she is studying how to mix and master tracks for releases and meanwhile she is having fun making some DJ sets.
She loves producing, mixing and listening to great Techno and House music.

BSV: Hello Petr! Thank you very much for your original music and for participating in our one-hour sessions. Nice to have you here!
PETR STANCL: Hi Marko, thank you for being here!

BSV: How did you find us and what was the breaking point to pick up our label for your demos? You just love our visual identity?
PETR STANCL: I like underground labels, I was interested in production and unknown super producers, I sent a demo and it came out :) it was that simple.

BSV: We found out that you have some alter egos when it comes to music. What’s your current one?
PETR STANCL: I currently use the alter ego Petr Stancl in production, as a DJ I play mainly house music under the nickname Luckie (@luckie_petr) since 2000.

BSV: Can you please describe to us Czech electronic music scene? Is it special?
PETR STANCL: The Czech dance scene is special because we have the largest concentration of DJs per meter2 :))) joke... We have a bunch of skilled producers and DJs, the largest festivals in Central Europe such as Let it Roll or Beats for Love in Ostrava. Brno is very techno-based, Prague more underground and house. At the moment it seems to me that techno is very much at the top, the EDM style is experiencing a fall:)) thank God:))

BSV: This mixtape is very coherent and it follows the flow from the beginning to the very end. These are your favs at this moment or you needed to dig deeper into your mp3/wav collection?
PETR STANCL: The mixtape is composed of current artists that I like, you will find tracks from our producer Roman Rai (@roman-rai), my little thing or maybe Pig and Dan (@pig-and-dan), I always try to have a story, I hope it works and you will like it!

BSV: Your time spent in the studio per week? Be honest.
PETR STANCL: In the summer it is certainly less, but an average of 10 hours a week.

BSV: Any upcoming events or projects maybe?
PETR STANCL: I have just released a 4-track EP on the Slovenian label Podvodo Records (@podvodo), otherwise I have no plans to play or have any extra plans :))

Giles & Diego is the newly formed french duo exploring different facets of profound and energetic vibes to satisfy dancers across the globe.

After their encounter on a Tunisian beach during a party where Diego held a DJ residency, the two french guys were drawn to each other by their mutual thirst for deep & melodic house grooves.

Both Giles and Diego have been active in electronic music for over a decade now:
On the one hand, there’s Giles whose passion for life is driven by longtime love for electronic music in all its forms. Giles brings his pianist skills and emotional twist to the duo.
On the other hand, Diego, a seasoned drummer and DJ who already had a blast in the south of France scenes before joining forces with Giles and bringing his definition of groove.
