I wanted to go on a real journey with this set, through my catalogue of new and old tunes, many favourites thrown in there. I kept it Melodic and emotional to begin with, but as you progress deeper into it you feel some darkness start to creep in, slowly rising in tempo and intensity. I pictured playing an extended sunset slot while mixing, easing out of the lighthearted daytime vibes and progressing into heavier night time energy towards the end.

Hello we are Idylic - John Dill (@johndill) & illich Mujica (@illich-mujica). 

Back in 2020 we were in a cabin in the mountains in the middle of the pandemic amongst new learning DJ’s. It was a celebration of illich’s birthday and the first time we played together. 

We already loved the music each one of us played and it was an unsurprising moment of “let’s b2b!” back then. The flow was full of melodic groove with a rich track collection only found in the library of 2 well-seasoned selectors. 

We would come together here and there to jam when the planets aligned, and this is the first official recorded DJ set of ours; live at Burning Man 2023 @ Waffles & House.

This is pure Idylic Housey daytime vibes, before the storm came through, and before the Wafflolympics’ Syrup licking competition. (If you know you know…) ;)

“OKAYFINE, I’ll become a dj.” That was how it all started. A surrender to the Universe. A belief in himself that was unwavering and continues to be to this day. House music is part of his blueprint. OKAYFINE's musical style is rooted in Deep/Organic house, but his sets span the genres of tech house,tribal/Afro house, melodic techno, progressive, deep tech and even some deep playa- down-tempo vibes. So far in his musical journey he’s opened as direct support for some of the biggest names in the international touring circuit(not a big fan of name dropping). His mission is to create a container of LOVE and TRUTH through the medicinal frequencies he weaves into his sets.
