Beach Day was inspired by the curious obsession and awe that I have towards Tropical

Pop music and the island lifestyle. The influence on Dancehall-Soca swings was enough

to create a concept of the song through sketching three experimental ideas.


I really love toying with the idea of sounds that I think might be heard in Paradise and that is what really help me to write the euphoric melodies and lyrics that could make someone feel good about today by marrying it with the positive energy one can enjoy from a beach day.


The deeper concepts behind the technicalities of the project were based on the

messages that were sent back and forth between my girlfriend and I on a casual Sunday

evening. She mentioned that the original idea that I had started for the music didn’t have

the authenticity that she fell in love with when she first heard the Prince Pronto “House

Party” record in 2017.


Regardless, I took it as an opportunity to get back to the drawing board and somehow

managed to figure out how to fuse what she was saying with the things I had learned

since that record. In the end, Wild Out on a Beach Day became something I was very

happy with.
