"Mechanical Motions (OKIN-OMIS Remix)" appeared on "Remixes XX" released by Antilounge Records: antilounge.bandcamp.com/album/remixes-xx 

The remix is part of Antilounge Records' 20 years anniversary remix album, among 24 other artists. All artists on the record are from The Hague, who remixed another artist from The Hague.

The track is officially produced by Kid Baltan, also knows as Dick Raaijmakers. It is one of the many tracks that has been made with tape recorders, tone- and noise generators in the Philips Physics Laboratory, Philips’ research department knows as NatLab in the late ‘50s. The music created in NatLab is considered as the first ever made electronic music. "Mechanical Motions" is released in the US as "The Ray Makers". 

Beside the history of the original piece, its organic and percussive character really resonated with me. To accentuate it, I layered a lot of my own field recordings in the remix.
