Our second release of 2021 and a brand new artist that’s supplied it, we introduce you to ‘Haelix’.

Taking us back to the 2014/15 era of House music - bringing back those same emotions as Chris Lorenzo, Chris Gresswell & co’s old Jackin’ House tracks bought us all those years ago; it’s another sound that we couldn’t be prouder of releasing under our SUPSZE releases series.

Picking up support from more of our favourite DJs and producers, it’s refreshing to see our tracks impressing some of our most treasured artists around the world.

“The idea of ‘Comma’ was to create a dance track that not only had a solid drum groove and bassline, but that also had both melodic depth and emotion interwoven throughout.

At the time I was a few months into quarantine and had discovered Hans Glader and MPH. I was devouring their music like crazy, finding real inspiration in their ability to weave complex, jazzy melodies into house/garage beats. ‘Comma’ saught to capture exactly that, whilst including a sense of nostalgia that I was riding on at the time. 

A large majority of the synth sounds on this track are taken from an old electric piano I’d grew up with, something I recently discovered my parents still had. It’s a very special track to me, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it :) ” - Haelix

Looking for something to give you that Friday feeling? Then look no further as DT has got just what you need to get you in the mood for the weekend ahead with an exclusive premiere of Defected’s Franky Rizardo's remix of DJ S.K.T.'s floor-filling banger 'Take Me Away'.

First coming to our attention when he rocketed into the Top 40 with his Little Nikki collaboration 'Right Before My Eyes', before landing remix requests from Oliver Heldens and Wilkinson, things are looking pretty good for London's DJ S.K.T with 'Take Me Away' smashing the airwaves and dancefloors alike as it becomes one of the anthems of the year.

Sampling the vocals of the seminal rave track of the same name by True Faith we're sure you'll be hearing plenty of this one as the mercury begins to rise.

Warning: listening to the mix may cause a sudden and irresistible urge to dance!

The Birdfeed has long been a place for exclusive music from brand new potential Dirtybird artists. Releasing (mostly) once a week, some of these tracks rise above the rest and stand out from the pack, and several Dirtybird artists have made the leap from Birdfeed-exclusive to regular Dirtybird releases.

“Best of the Birdfeed, Vol 2” showcases some recent highlights that are ready for primetime. Made up of primarily brand new artists and a few familiar faces such as Luke Andy, Pimpo Gama, DKING and Mancodex, the compilation also features a special edit of Animellix’s “Lost in the Forest” from Claude VonStroke.

Hailing from Australia, @LowdownMusik returns to @NightBassRecords after his smashing debut on This Is Night Bass Vol 9. ‘Ghetto Poetry’ is his first EP release on Night Bass and it’s a hefty blend of savage basslines, low-end frequencies and underground House sounds. Lowdown hits full throttle with ‘Eastside’, giving way to unique snare placements and heavy swells of midtempo bass, driving straight into the quirky groove of ‘Pro Wrestler’, an impressive collaboration with @SLATIN. ‘Ghetto Poetry’ comes in hot with a low-end pressure 4/4 beat followed by aggressive, UK-infused bassline madness. To round off the EP, Lowdown calls upon @Qlank for ‘Go’, a bass-heavy production with twisted programming decorated with commanding vocals and peculiar intricacies.
