Koen Verstappen is the man behind the cosmic soundproject ‘Oko Santo’. 
Born in the mid 80’s In Belgium he soon discovered his passion for music. Enjoying different kinds of genres and experiencing all kinds of festivals and parties at a young age, definitely left its musical marks in his heart. To feed his passion for music and to expand his musical knowledge, he learned to play the piano and successfully completed an 8 year musical training. 

Koen remembers his first Goa party at the age of 14, in the year 2000. It was a secret party very close to where he grew up. It became an experience he never forgot; mind expanding music and happy, smiling and trance dancing people everywhere, creating the most powerful and mind blowing atmosphere.

Nowadays he finds himself based in natural beauty Switzerland. His passion for travelling brought him there. He collected and embraced all kinds of  colourful and intense experiences in many different countries and cultures. Of course he also combined his love for travelling with his passion for psychedelic gatherings. He visited many exclusive, big and small, known and secret, mainstream and underground, parties all over the world.

As DJ Oko Santo, his style is best described as eclectic, psychedelic, heart driven music. He tries to really reach the people’s souls, bodies, hearts and minds with his choice of tracks in his sets. His goal always is to get everybody dancing, enjoying and smiling! 

His musical mind is influenced by all sorts of music styles, including techno, house, minimal, hiphop, rock and classical music. 

Since quite some year now, he enjoys playing new and old Goatrance, progressive psytrance and more chilled out tunes. 
Goatrance, the old and the new school, has a special place in his heart. He literally can’t live without this music ;-) His love for Goatrance is being transferred in every set he plays. It’s obvious when you see him play! 

Oko Santo plays the oldskool style. He uses turntables, cd players and a mixer. You won’t find traktor (or a laptop) around him! 

Koen is the proud owner of a huge collection of over 1400 original psychedelic albums. And this collection is still growing fast!  

His home made mixes are made with 2 Pioneer CDJ800 mk2 and a Pioneer DJM350. Besides that, he loves using his pair of Technics Turntables! 

His journey in musical space continues…
