@slowfirediscomachine is the alias behind Andrea Carassai and Giacomo Fiorani. Their friendship behind the decks started as Polyphonic, then became quickly something different giving birth to Slow Fire Disco Machine, an entity exploring sounds from the world with no restriction of genre, with eyes (and ears) to groove and good vibes.For this Jitter mix they've put together 65 minutes of recent favs and unreleased edits going from reggae vibes to kwaito tunes up to house music and back again to some mellow funk-infused records. For this 21sh show, I am very glad to have Limbe (@robin_limbe) on board! Limbe is a member of Pompelope (@pompelope), a party curator since 2016 who invites artists without any genre limitation, and with only leitmotiv: sharing their own vision of a party.

They’ve enlarged their activities during the successive lockdowns by hosting a series of online takeovers on IMR Radio, and by releasing their first compilation ‘Foule Contact’ last year including artists as such as Gui Scott, Running Hot, Eternal Love, Hysteric, JAI, and others...

This mix is all about the desire of going back behind the decks, and find back the heat of a club.

@jitterparty invite Gabe : (@joilafrique) is the co-creator/organiser of Apricot Ballroom (@apricotballroom), an audiophile party based in Sheffield, UK. He's an obsessive digger and collector of both records and speakers, and is usually found digging through dusty shelves and shops for rare vintage pieces of both kinds.
Having been DJing since 2009 he's been involved with a variety of projects focusing on different styles in that time, but really found his feet in starting Apricot Ballroom with best friend Dave (Nonna Fab). The party focuses on displaying obscure and interesting music of all varieties through a beautiful vintage audiophile sound system in a high energy club setting.
The party and its hosts have gone from strength to strength lately, having started a mix series and record label over the last two years, the two becoming regular fixtures at some of the UK's best boutique festivals, and the monthly parties regularly packing out their chosen home of Bal Fashions in Sheffield.
If you're around their neck of the woods, we'd recommend checking them out.

Up next for the second instalment of our Loose Connections series is Callum Duff, a dear friend and collector I admire for his endless passion for finding the weird and wonderful records out there that are sometimes forgotten about but always turn heads. 

Callum has an impressive string of mixes under his belt, Notably Doing Time and Seance Centre on NTS, Through the Trees and The Lot Radio so I’m delighted to have him onboard for our little series!
