Wow, I can't believe my nearly six week hiatus went by so quickly. I do however feel very rested and rejuvenated for another year of exploring this amazing music we all love so much called "House" in all of its many different forms. In this set (I Love Music) I played a lot of really soulful tunes from some of the all time favorite artists and featured some of my favorite producers and remixers as well. This short DJ set is simply a heartfelt musical celebration, celebrating the life and times of the now late great Mr. Roy Ayers! I've stated a few times that his iconic song "Running Away" was so influential to me and my young DJ and music loving friends growing up in Detroit in the early 1980's. I still "hear" it blasting from one of my DJ mentors basements way back in the day. From Roy's cool jazzy vibes in the 1970's, to his music being heavily sampled  in Hip-Hop all through the 90's Mr. Ayers' musical fingerprint was literally everywhere. But it's the collaborations that he did with some of the House Music community that was the most fascinating to me. Here he was a "giant" in the music world still partnering with our beloved Dance Music tastemakers. I always thought that was just so cool, but then again Roy Ayers was the epitome of "Cool." May your musical legacy live forever Sir... ∞

Hey everybody. Today is a very sad day for Tony in the loss of his close and dear friend, Michael Procter, a former lead male singer with the hit group "The Fifth Dimension". Michael and Tony were like brothers and after hearing the sad news, Tony was floored when he got the call this morning about Michael's transition to be with God. Michael entered the House scene and had a string of classics to his credit, and will be sorely missed by the music world. In a tribute to his memory, Tony has put together a short mix of some of Michael's classic songs below.
