Morning Roots

Electronic music visionary Pye Corner Audio, a master of blending nostalgia with forward-thinking production, has carved out a unique niche in the electronic music landscape. Drawing inspiration from 1970s and 80s synthesizer music, and cinematic soundtracks, his work often evokes a sense of eerie futurism.

Lapsus Records is proud to present Where Things Are Hollow: No Tomorrow, a comprehensive box set revisiting and expanding his acclaimed Where Things Are Hollow series. This release includes the first two volumes—with Volume 2 featuring an unreleased track—and two additional chapters that further enrich the series’ narrative. Once again, Pye Corner Audio delivers innovative soundscapes, drawing inspiration from ambient techno, foggy electronica, and experimental slow disco.

The third installment unveils a constellation of entirely new tracks, weaving the ambient, synthwave, and retro-futuristic textures that define Jenkins' work. Meanwhile, Where Things Are Hollow 4 amplifies this universe, incorporating reinterpretations by some of today’s most visionary artists: Alessandro Cortini, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Lord Of The Isles, and Surgeons Girl, alongside the popular 2020 John Talabot remix of "Resist".

As with previous entries, the visual identity of Where Things Are Hollow: No Tomorrow is a striking collaboration between Basora Studio and renowned illustrator Alex Trochut, offering a visual counterpart to the series' otherworldly audio.

With all tracks remastered for the occasion, Where Things Are Hollow: No Tomorrow is a testament to Jenkins' enduring influence and creative evolution, cementing Pye Corner Audio as a key figure in modern electronic music.

Pye Corner Audio - Mainframe (Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith Remix) [LPS41]

An instrumental odyssey through the infinite. *The Endless Symphony* translates the mathematical beauty of π into music — patterns without repetition, harmony without end. Each movement explores a facet of infinity: creation, balance, entropy, and return. Through orchestral textures, ambient electronics, and minimalist design, Avaline Ingels constructs a sonic architecture that feels both divine and human — precision guided by emotion.  
Piano, harp, and strings trace circular motifs while choirs breathe in golden ratios. Tempos shift by Fibonacci values, phrases extend by digits of π, and melodies evolve like galaxies forming. The album’s structure loops perfectly: the finale’s final drone blends into the prelude’s first chord, forming a seamless circle of sound.  
*The Endless Symphony* is not a story but a mirror of eternity — a composition that, like π itself, continues forever, revealing meaning only through motion.

Josin – the project from German composer and producer Arabella Rauch – releases a new remix of ‘Company’ from Kiasmos, the electronic duo made up of BAFTA-winning Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds, and the Faroe Islands’ Janus Rasmussen, known as the mastermind of the electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup.

Kiasmos’ take on ‘Company’ maintains the raw beauty of the original vocal and combines it perfectly with a distinctly Kiasmos style, creating affecting and emotional soundscapes from a minimal electronic approach. “It feels a bit unreal to be honest to have a Kiasmos remix of one of my songs” explains Josin. “I love their work and their approach to electronical music. While waiting to hear a first mix I was excited about how the two worlds would sound combined: From the first notes I heard, it made complete sense. Very Kiasmos, very Josin. They used the right essentials from the original and added their deepness and emotional colour in an amazing way. The way they kept the vocal part completely unfiltered and raw is exactly how I see the vocals in that track. For me, the remix raises the song to a new level and inspires me back for my own work.”

The original track was written last summer during a campervan trip in Norway on a ridiculously small, battery-powered keyboard. “It was fun because I was able to work on the melodies basically everywhere: On a kayak in the middle of the ocean, while hiking, while waiting for ferries” explains Josin. “Sometimes writing on the go and with less gear makes one focus on the essentials more. Company is about trying to become one with something but not succeeding. It´s a solitary, careful declaration of love.” 

Last year Josin released her debut acclaimed EP ‘Epilogue’ via Swedish independent label Dumont Dumont (RY X, Charlie Cunningham).  The EP sees a dynamic blend of electronic jolts, enhanced by keyboards and haunting poetic vocals that draw on a variety of traditions, from classical to electronic. As a self-taught producer, Josin is always experimenting, incorporating the electronical world into her writing as well as composing string arrangements.
