Ola Kobak, formerly under the stage name Fulka, presents a new album named Metanoia. Building on the success of her debut album, The 'Mystery of The Seven Stars' in 2010, the songs follow her journey of changing one's mind. With flowing electronic beats, warm vocals and a tranquil Wurlitzer electronic piano, She sings about office life, heartbreak and yearning. Stripped from previous banjo's, strings and guitar, this musical direction is intimate, honest and organic without a glittering self-display.

Ola Kobak's earliest memories of music is sitting on her grandfather's lap and singing Polish nursery rhymes. In her early days, she spent hours in the orchestra pit while her father, also a musician, played trombone for musicals, operas, ballets, etc. In 2011, she debuted her album "The Mystery of The Seven Stars" under the stage name "Fulka". The single "Dancing in Our Darkest Days" put Kobak on the national radar and the local festival scene – from Oppikoppi to Splashy Fen. In 2014, she was back with an album, Metanoia, released digitally as an eight-track offering. The album is a metaphor for a change of heart and it boasts a new approach. Kobak has dropped the name Fulka and has gone to write music that’s minimalistic, more emotive and ambient, with a moody edge. Influenced by current artists such as Emily Haines, Nils Frahm and Jon Hopkins. She believes, in the long run, that her sound could change even more. Currently, her music is featured in "Ayanda", the latest film by award-winning director Sara Blecher, "Cool Capital" documentary and other local productions. She has released her first single from the album "The Vast Unknown" in tribute to the arrival of her son.
