One of my favourite Easter hymns is "My Song is Love Unknown" A beautiful tune combined with thought provoking words.
Here is my humble attempt at four different arrangements of this hymn.

A  Night At The Ball

Back in 1962 a little known band called Bee Bumble and the stingers made a record called Nutrocker (a track beloved by many including Keith Emerson). On the B side was a track called Nautilus (all bout a submarine). This is my tke on Nautilus.

An earlier piece, Vangelis stole my whippet, was originally scored in Sibelius and then arranged using synths. I thought it would be fun to revisit it and make an orchestral alternative arrangement.

An experiment in cheesiness - apart from a limiter, no effort to mix or master. Started as a project  but so cheesy that I gave up in the end.

Balloons

I had this idea of a mysterious girl dancing on a silentl beach in the dusk. A simple but hopefully enchanting little walzt. To achieve an air of mystery the first 16 bars act as a false intro using slight discords and timing tweaks. This leads to a more conventional introductory phrase.

Scored in Sibelius, mastered in Studio One. Started as an experimrnt with tri-tone triplets and with improvisation, variation and other frigging about, became what it is.

After a few weeks isolation my creative juices went strange.

Old retired bloke who got the bug for creating digital sounds from his son. (Transient Motion) I use Dorico for writing scores (Sibelius just doesn't cut it anymore) Mixing and mastering in Studio 1.
I use Omnisphere for a lot of my sounds but I also like to use my hardware synths. I try not to follow any trends, preferring to lay down what sound good to my somewhat worn out ears.
