One of my favourite Easter hymns is "My Song is Love Unknown" A beautiful tune combined with thought provoking words.
Here is my humble attempt at four different arrangements of this hymn.

I had this vision in my mind of an aging, rather frayed, good time girl, sat in a pub drinking a gin. Kind of sad now but she had some good times in her day.

I had this idea of a mysterious girl dancing on a silentl beach in the dusk. A simple but hopefully enchanting little walzt. To achieve an air of mystery the first 16 bars act as a false intro using slight discords and timing tweaks. This leads to a more conventional introductory phrase.

After a few weeks isolation my creative juices went strange.

Old retired bloke who got the bug for creating digital sounds from his son. (Transient Motion) For serious writing I use Sibelius 7.5 to create my scores. These are either exported as midi or bounced down. Mixing is done in Cubase 7 and mastering in Studio 1. I'm a fan of retro synths especially a fat, juicy Moog bass.
I use omnisphere for a lot of my sounds but I also use a Roland GAIA for some sampling. I try not to follow any trends, preferring to lay down what sound good to my somewhat worn out ears.
