This album is Classic Rock…Vol.7 which is the seventh volume that continues with more classic rock hits across the generations and has many ‘first time’ experiences for me... (detailed below). It contains music across the generations from Nat King Cole’s ‘Those Lazy, Crazy Days of Summer’ (1963) to Abba’s new singles ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’ and ‘Just A Notion’ (2021).

Talking about Abba...it’s great to see the Swedish Band back in action and for the first time I have been able to record my song cover’s in less than a few weeks after release. So, hope you enjoy my cover versions of ‘Don’t Shut Me Down’ and ‘Just a Notion’.   
 
For the first time I have recorded a Led Zeppelin song in ‘Black Dog’ (1971). It is a very challenging song with 7 guitar tracks, and this is where your experience as a producer comes into play in getting the right mix-balance and mastering of the song...I’m happy with the effort and result and I hope this song brings back some memories...or a new listening experience.

For the first time I have recorded music from Santana in two of my all-time favourite songs...’Samba Pa Ti’ (1970) and Black Magic Woman-Gypsy Queen (1970). Another interesting challenge in getting the right guitar nuances and ensuring the artistry and essence of the song is well preserved. So, hope you enjoy my cover versions as well.

Other songs from across the generations consists of Leo Sayer’s ‘Long Tall Glasses’ (1974), Eddy Money’s ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ (1977), Steppenwolf’s ‘Born to be Wild’ (1968), Steel Breeze’s ‘You Don’t Want Me Anymore’ (1982), Dave Clark’s ‘Glad All Over (1964), The Beatles (From Me To You (1964) and Them’s ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ (1964) which was also covered by AC/DC in 1975.

My wife Linda asked me to record the Pretenders’ song ‘I’ll Stand by You’ (1994) which she dedicated to me. It’s a very touching song and I get goose bumps every time I listen to it. So, I hope it resonates with you as well...

Other songs on the Album also include American Authors’ ‘Best Day of my Life’ (2014), Brian Taylor’s ‘Indiana Wants Me’ (1970), Tod Rundgren (1972), ‘Cinnamon’ By Derek (1969), ‘Break My Stride’ by Matthew Wilder (1983) and ‘Gypsy Woman’ By Brian Hyland (1970).

I’m very happy and proud of this album which I feel it is up there as one of best albums I have ever recorded and produced to-date. So, I hope you enjoy this Classic Rock Album...7.
