Things have come full circle for Silent Dust member Andy Hobbs.

Having emerged in the early/mid 2000s as Hobzee, he’s now returned to that alias for the first time in 15 years, easing himself back into our playlists as a solo artist. So far well-received dispatches have landed on the respected likes of Influence, Soul Deep and Goldfat. Now he’s levelled up with a debut on Doc Scott’s seminal 31 imprint.

Perhaps his most accomplished and striking release so far during this new chapter, his remarkable In The Dark EP hits all the sweet spots between his Soul:r roots, his Silent Dust autonomicizms and a more contemporary deep, technoid sound.

For the opening set of the night we had label manager Ant TC1 warming up early doors ahead of Doc Scott and Goldie, here's the first of the 3 recordings that we are uploading from this memorable mid-summer event.  It was a special night in June of this year with a sold out crowd of 800+ people crammed into Xoyo's upstairs room (from pretty much before the very first needle was placed on the record until going past the nights extended close).  Again a big thanks to Benji B for inviting us down to take over the room.

My favourite music from the last month, right across the full spectrum of DnB. There is so much to choose from, and so many moods to bring - these mixes just keep getting longer and longer. I love to play this much variety at gigs but its hard to condense it down into one hour. Promoters please give us longer sets!
