Freshly vaccinated and ready to party: Our beloved geriatric go-getter Disko Jürgen is back at it again: This time the old geezer enchants us with a frisky and funk-infused remix of Olek's "Touch of Music". After meeting Olek near a pond where Jürgen likes to feed the local duck population with leftovers from his famous Fränkisch-Fusion-Nacho-Platter, the two decided to make it happen. Now we will finally reap the benefits of this historic encounter: "Touch of Music (Disco Jürgen's Quesadilla & Nacho Remix) is out now on shellac record, magnetic tape and of course on all of these "Schtreaming-Platforms" that Jürgen hears so much about. Olek, a producer from Berlin, premieres on Endless Music with his new 'Satori' EP.
The very groovy EP comes with three dancefloor-ready tracks that will surely bring a very positive vibe to listeners and dancers alike. Subtle sonic features define the very 'analogue' sound of Olek's productions and all three tracks feature very well arranged percussion lines with clever use of dynamics and shuffle techniques.
The title track 'Satori' features beautiful string arrangements and pristine electric piano riffs with subtle soloing on top.
The slightly deeper sounding drums of the second track, 'Swimming', get complemented by the funky voice sample chops layered over the track. You'll encounter a slightly more minimalistic yet very pure and straightforward approach to house on this one.
'Funkstille' features captivating speech samples and guitar licks that bring an additional funky touch to the almost eerie synthesizer pads in the background, layered over a tastefully produced drum section and bass lines that just sit right.
This EP shows the producer's skill of groove creation with a minimalist and almost puristic approach to rhythm and bass.

Nach einem Interview mit dem Berliner Kollektiv Banausen, präsentieren wir euch zwei exklusive DJ-Sets von Olek (@olekdj) und Johannes Klein (@derkleinejohannes).

Zu alt für TikTok-Techno, zu jung zum Aufhören. Olek hat (fast) alles gehört und gespielt. Alles heißt heute: House. Weil's einfach geil ist. Und weil's irgendwie auch Straße ist und sich gut mit den HipHop-Wurzeln des Artists verträgt. Gangster wie die 90s, groovy wie die 2000er, mal happy, mal soulful - Olek ist einfach Opfer Lauter Elektronischer Kunst. Und die ist nunmal vielfältig. Olek will wirken. So spielte er Live-Sets mit dem senegalesischen Trommelmeister Biro Dikhaté, bringt mit dem Banausen Kollektiv Kunst und Musik zusammen oder veröffentlicht seine Tracks auf Labels wie Endless Music, Peace Peter oder Style Rockets.
