Collective ROW (Toolset) distills the melodic-techno wing of Mr Fixer Music into ten neutral, loop-friendly cuts—arps, minor-key progressions, and long-form tension designed for circular mixing. Intros/outros standardized at 16–32 bars, stable energy floors, and clean transitions for fast layering.

Felix Fleer starts of the A-side by exploring his roots in classical music through implementing a grand piano into a rhythmically challenging yet hypnotic techno weapon in an seemingly effortless manner. Jonas Landwehr continues diving deeper into his fascination for airy pad sounds and unique percussion styles that are not less silky than they are warm and powerful. Rythen closes the A-side with an electrifying and stomping floorkiller. 

Under their Environ. moniker Rythen & Felix Fleer open up the B-side by revisiting the previously encountered piano theme in a more club oriented way. The last words on this release are spoken by Alderaan, one of the most promising newcomers of the currently flourishing techno scene from Buenos Aires. With 'Clarity' he delivers a tooly, yet psychedelic techno trip.

INFO 
Mysterious newcomer Banke delivers a profound debut for TOKEN81. The Totem EP's tempered sophistication and clear sense of purpose belies Banke's neophyte status, establishing him instead in the ranks of Token's most experienced artists in terms of skill and ingenuity. 

Simenon's tense introduction is met with understated, yet unmistakable fragments of Detroit in the form of a hypnotic, high-end glissando, rolling drum work and built-up tasteful stabs. Cheerlead's delicate trill is mimicked and answered in a hypnotic call-and-response over a carefully measured low-end. 

Totem, the title track, has a traditionalist opening that's purposeful and composed, with Banke patiently building tension through his crafty and artful arrangement. An oddball breakdown of mind-bending synth work places the record firmly in the avant-garde, while its detailed percussion retains dancefloor functionality. Strattera's hyper-focused mid and off-beat brushing hi-hat opens out to become disorienting, multi-layered trip.

Still, once you’ve been sucked into the realm of “Lacking”, there is hope at its prettiest. The flip-side of this is “Taking Action” - Ray description of a possible future if we only were better together. The pure drive of “Interference” is the can-opener to Ray’s world with lots of detail for his funk for you to approach and to play with."
