X by John Kennedy; Burning Juniper are following
up the strong debut with their second single ‘What’s
The Point’ also recorded with producer Josh Tyrrell
(Lana Del Rey, Mark Ronson, Tony Visconti). It’s a fast
paced anthem that shows another side to the bands
sound. 'What’s The Point' is a favourite for Burning
Juniper to play due to the sheer pace and energy of
the song. It’s an indie anthem filled with angst as
the protagonist of the song asks the question
what’s the point of relationships if they end up in
pain and regret.

Monochrome silhouettes are met with chess stylistically doused in Hollywood Regency. Bitumen’s Kate Binning embodies slick femme fatale with a choreographed performance emphasising Binning’s affinity for stage and camera.

Mandrake Handshake return with their brand new single 'Emonzaemon', taken from their brand new EP 'The Triple Point of Water' out on November 18th. 

'Emonzaemon' is a fearless psych-explosion representing the eclectic sound of the hypnotic 9 piece psych-collective, with the main inspiration for the song coming from a ninja from the anime 'Katanagatari'. Indicative of the self-honed style they dub ‘Flowerkraut’, Mandrake unleash a hedonistic brain-frying feast of krautrock, art-pop and psychedelia, spiced with enigmatic grooves and fearless improvisations.

‘Internet’ is the second single taken from Shake Chain’s debut album ‘Snake Chain’ (out Nov 18th on Upset The Rhythm). With this track the London-based avant-punk four-piece race along with radiant headbangs of dynamic abandon, one part tumble, two parts pummel. ‘Internet’ is a jaunty stomp of a song about the differing contexts of online content. Punctuated throughout by wobbly keys and unhinged freakouts, found sounds and blasting rhythms this track boasts Kate’s questioning, resilient presence, anchoring everything.

Over the course of two well-received albums and numerous singles and compilation appearances, Jeanines have captured the ears of discerning listeners with a sound that recalls a diverse swathe of pop history, from 60s folk-pop and girl-group tunes to 80s DIY pop to solid gold 90s touchstones like The Aislers Set, The Cat's Miaow and the post-Black Tambourine bands of Pam Berry.

Now they're back with their first new tunes since 2022's "Don't Wait For A Sign" and the hits just keep on coming. "Each Day" is moody jangler that delivers melodic and emotional heft that belies its brief 1:43 length. Destined for 1,000 indiepop mixtapes, it's exactly the kind of song that the 7" was invented for. "What The Echoes Say" is a strummy delight, showcasing Alicia Jeanine's lovely vocal harmonies to maximum effect. "Tilt In Your Eye" wraps up this ace single -- it was Jeanines' contribution to Where It's At Is Where You Are's ace 2019 compilation "The Moon And Back" and appears here on vinyl for the first time.

Younghusband 'Dromes'

Having teamed up with Jorge Elbrecht (Kirin J Callinan, No Joy) and Joshua Rumble (Black Country New Road) to achieve this sound on his upcoming album and singles. Oliver Marson blends music from the 60s, 70s and 80s to create a catchy baroque pop sound. This is ludicrous music for ludicrous times and satire for life in late capitalism. His lyrics take more from contemporary rap artists like Danny Brown rather than the current zeitgeist of guitar bands, because of their provocative nature. “Manipulator” features Christina Lopez on drums (Lava la rue, Empathy Test), Charles Cave on bass (White Lies) and backup vocals from Maya Harrisson (For Breakfast).
