What beautiful and lovely festival. I had the best time playing at the beautiful Creatures Corner, was very happy to see so many of you on this Monday morning and seeing the sun coming out in the last minutes of my set was a sweet little extra. :) 
I was really enjoying this cosy vibe you were all creating and could not imagine a better summer and festival closing.

Closing sets are always special. For some reason, this one felt a bit extra special. 
On this beautiful monday afternoon in the Creatures Corner of Mystic Creatures Festival 2025, we had the honour once again. During epic 3 hours, with bits of rain and many moments of sunshine, many kisses and hugs were exchanged, there were loads of laughing faces and a few tears on the dancefloor. While the birds were forming on the sky for a final dance before moving south, the crowd was pulsating in their last big wave of dancing energy, at the end of about 100 hours of music, surrounded by sparkly bubbles and mystical fog. At one point, the giant cauldron in the middle of the floor, that spit bubbles in the day and fire at night, started to overflow with mountains of foam, that was flying through the air and over the dancefloor like fluffy clouds  while people were smudging themselves - the whole scene became so bizarre in a hilarious way - we will certainly never forget this!
We are deeply grateful to all of you on the floor, our loved ones and friends, and of course the whole mystic crew. 
What a wonderful vibe we created together!

This gig was really special for me and I honestly can’t remember the last time I felt that nervous and excited at the same time. But the excitement was worth it, and I truly enjoyed those 2 hours on Monday morning at Creatures Corner. Thanks to everyone for staying up late or getting up early, and for all the lovely feedback afterwards, it really means a lot to me 🫶 And thank you Mystic Creatures for having me 💜

Nach ersten musikalischen Ausflügen in Marburg, wo die Gelegenheiten für ihren vertrippt-verspielten Downtempo-Sound eher rar gesät waren, hat es sie nun nach Berlin verschlagen – auf der Suche nach mehr Bass, mehr Langsamkeit und mehr Tanz. Die Liebe zum Downtempo entflammte beim Mystic Creatures Festival: eine tief vibrierende Offenbarung. Ihr Sound ist ein zähflüssiges Klang-Gelée – langsam, hypnotisch, warm und tief. Bereit, sich durch Körper und Raum zu ziehen.

Wir hatten das Vergnügen und Gelée Bass hat uns noch ein paar Fragen beantwortet :) 

1. Wie lange legst Du nun schon auf und wie hast Du es gelernt?
Seit einem Jahr in etwa. bisschen nebenher. Angefangen hab ich es als neues Hobby mit meinem Partner. Anfangs  haben wir nur abwechselnd beim kochen aufgelegt und es uns dabei irgendwie halb intuitiv halb mit tutorials selbst beigebracht. Daraus ist dann unser DJ-Duo tatzentanz entstanden und für Solo-Projekte bin ich als Gelée Bass unterwegs. 

2. Gibt es ein bestimmtes Event oder Moment, an das/den Du Dich gerne zurückerinnerst?
Am Liebsten mag ich die spontanen Auflege-Sessions mit einer zweiten Person. Es fühlt sich an wie kommunizieren durch Musik, in einem Flow, von dem man noch nicht weiß, wie er sich entwickelt.

3. Was wünschst Du Dir, sollte in der Clubszene .anders laufen?
Ich würde mir (vor allem aus der Perspektive einer viel Tanzenden) mehr gesprächsfreie Tanzflächen wünschen. Mehr Räume für nonverbale (Tanz-)Kommunikation; Musikfühlen auf dem Dancefloor und Austauschen daneben. 

4. Wie würdest Du Deinen Sound beschreiben?
Langsam, verträumt, vertrippt, verspielt und alles in einem tiefen Bass-Gelée.

5. Wenn Du ein Wort wärst, welches wäre das?

6. Musik machen bedeutet für Dich …?
Eine Art von Kommunikation, Selbstausdruck, Meditation, Verarbeitung von Erlebnissen und kreativem Ausleben.

7. Bist du Teil eines Kollektivs oder steckst du selbst hinter Events, Labels oder Workshops?
Bisher leider noch nicht, aber hoffentlich in der Zukunft! :)
