The 'Ghost Memory' EP is a collection of fresh electronic experimentations made across the summer of 2019 under my experimental pseudonym 'Oxhead.' Inspired by reading Mark Fisher's essays on cultural memory and hauntology alongside various historical narratives while travelling in Europe, it comprises 4 sonic sketches which explore ambient, noise and deconstructed techno. Layered field recordings and documentary samples meet shoegaze guitars, industrial drums and sheer destruction to explore the instability of human memory in musical form.

Ollie Turbitt is a composer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Edinburgh, UK. As well as providing guitar and bass duties for a handful of local bands, he has pursued a fluctuating solo career in avant-garde exploration. Under the pseudonyms Oxhead, Sforza Gramsci, OJ Turbitt, Hermetic Gaze and others, his self-released cassettes, USBs and digital albums have aimed to express the ideas of cultural memory and altered consciousness through improvisation, sound collage, ambient textures, laptop experimentation and field recordings. 
Ollie also runs the DIY tape imprint Dead Hound Records, which serves as a vehicle for his own material as well as a platform for promoting an increasing list of international experimental acts.
