Melbourne-born Spanish singer-songwriter Olivier Martin is what lies between the simplicity of a raw acoustic guitar and a quiet storm of emotions. The 24 year-old alternative rock/soul singer found his soul in music at a very early age and devoted his whole life to it. Having released a self-recorded EP at the age of 16 and gaining local popularity through busking, word of mouth and sold-out shows that got his music on high rotation on local radio stations, Olivier relocated to Melbourne where he continued studying and playing on the weekends. 

His passion for music soon made him drop out of school and move back to Spain to embark on a journey of self-discovery and continue refining his songwriting style away from the public eye. “I was looking for long-term value and honesty in the work instead of quick validation, and that would only be found within. It’s the only way true art can exist”, he reflects. 

In October 2022, Olivier started working on his self-funded debut EP with Grammy award-winning producer and engineer Matt Lawrence at Silver Shark Studios, London. He was then offered his first London showcase at The Bedford, Balham in January and since then, he has become the venue’s booker’s favourite new artist, inviting him to play at The Camden Club in February and then again in March, describing Olivier as “potentially the next big thing in his genre” due to his great songs, captivating voice, values and outstanding personality. “There’s also a beautiful mix of English and Spanish influence in his music that no one’s heard before. I have been booking artists for many years and very few have moved me so much”
