What's shakin funky people?! We are back with Volume 193 of the series and we are stoked to welcome back our good mate from across the pond, Jon Hart!

Jon Hart, born and raised in Chorley, Northwest UK. Found a love for DJing in his early teens and entered DJ Idol Manchester aged 18yrs.

His sets earned him regular gigs in and around Manchester with the 2Risque crowd which led to the birth of Reason 2 Funk Records & Reason 2 Funk Radio Shows on multiple online streaming sites around the globe.

Jon has DJ’d at various clubs, events & festivals in destinations such as Ibiza, Amsterdam, Belgium, San Francisco & Croatia to name a few.

Recently he took a break from music to work on other projects, but hes now back and hes made an impact already, playing Dirty Sessionz and catching the eyes of IN:SESSION earning himself a residency playing alongside the likes of K-Klass, Jon DaSilva & Toolrooms CHANNE in a B2B set in December 2022, warming up for Grant Nelson in July 2023, DJin alongside live PA from Lisa Millet in September 2023.

Jon is set to relaunch Reason 2 Funk Records in the not so distant future which will see the rebirth of the FUNKcast, the Reason 2 Funk Merch which was always a popular one with the global house DJs and house music lovers, and will see the promise of a guaranteed to make your body move launch party.

Even Funkier's Mix For Funkadelic Sessions June 2023

This week The Don Craig Smith stands in for me providing a 2 hour house music masterclass demonstrating the reason behind the longevity of his career that spans decades and has taken him around the world.

Craig never fails to deliver a very different set every time I hear him whether he be playing house, soul, funk or hip hop and is one of the most diverse and exciting DJ's out there.

Craig also is a member of Soul Renagades with partner Ricky Reid and The 6th Borough Project along side Graeme Clark.

Craig has also this year started up his own label 'Beyond Tomorrow' on which he has put out 2 EP's so far with more exciting releases looming in the not to distant future (link for his Bandcamp page below).

For those that don't know, Tom was thee creator of the 12" disco version. Thank you Tom for creating so manny dance mixes that I personally have in my collection.

Olivier is a dj / producer from Amsterdam. Triggered by countless hip-hop mixtapes on cassette and VHS tapes full of scratch battles, Olivier bought a set of turntables and started collecting records in 1999. After the vibrant Amsterdam night life introduced him to soul, house and disco music, he broadened his horizons and Olivier became Oliver Boogie.

He won a place at the Red Bull Music Academy, released a slew of records on labels as Rush Hour, Lumberjacks In Hell and Whiskey Disco a.o., played shows around the world - from New York to London and from Prague to Vilnius - and has enjoyed residencies at numerous clubs in Amsterdam alongside a regular slot on Red Light Radio.
