Synchronicity is a wondrous thing, and the creative pairing of Luke Brancaccio (Brancaccio & Asher, Suicide Sports Club) with Simon Berry (Platipus Records, Art Of Trance, Union Jack) after a chance meeting at a London house party, is perhaps a sign that the universe is conspiring to guide electronic music on to a new and exciting path. The past 6 months has seen them unveil two crucial releases Oblivion (Bedrock) and Wake Up (Circus) both receiving much critical acclaim, and firmly positioning this experienced duo as one of the most exhilarating new collaborative projects around. Now, they return to Bedrock with their third, highly accomplished creation Close Your Eyes featuring the compelling vocals of JJD.

We all love to get lost in the music but with Josh Butler's return to Rejected, hes about to bring a whole new level to the concept

'Hydra' was written on Lost Beach, an Ecuadorian idyllic resort based around the cult TV show Lost where Josh found himself stranded as he waited for his US Visa to process (We say stranded More like getting lost in the after hours of Kami's infamous Lost Beach club cave where Josh regularly plays extended sets). The poignancy wasnt lost on Josh who would religiously watch the series during the early 2000s, so he soaked up the inspirations and named the track after the show's water station. Just like the show, theres a natural sense of unknown coded deep into every element. It also takes us back to Joshs earliest influences as a producer as subtle shades of trance can be found in the sweeping synths and barbed but hopeful melodic twists. Inviting us to get lost inside Josh's own musical make-up just as much as the track. 

'Never Leave' plays the consummate foil; much more direct and driving, there are touches of progression and techno in the momentum while Emilie Marie breathes her requests over the ever developing juggernaut rolling groove. Not only the perfect track to accompany a homage to a tropical paradise but if you 'Never Leave' you can't ever be lost, right?

Launched originally in 1991 by John Acquaviva, Richie Hawtin and Karl Kowalski, Definitive represented the housier side of the electronic empire that Hawtin and Acquaviva started with Plus 8 Records in 1990, and after a brief hiatus, John Acquaviva re-launched Definitive in 2005 with Olivier as his main artist and A&R, seeking and presenting the latest emerging sounds and talent to the world via a reputable, consistent, and trust- worthy platform.
With this impressive career achievements and a relentless work ethic for touring, Olivier is also known around the world for his exhilarating DJ performances that combine a heavy dose of groove inside an inspired blend of melodic flavors, demonstrating his talent behind the decks with an undoubtable versatility, adaptability, and headlining some of the world’s most iconic venues and events.
