In this work I explore the possible languange of an imagined futuristic posthuman entity. To construct this imagined language I translate the idea of 
dimensional transmutation in four-dimensional spacetime stemming from particle physics, in which the entity switches between dimensionless and dimensionful 
parameters to communicate, to audio parameters that determine the audible sound of the creatures.
The piece can be listened to as a conversation between several of these entities. 
The recording of the composition is a live performance of the piece in one take, made with a custommade digital audio system consisting of a generative patch, 
the Buchla Easel V, and a few DSP patches programmed in the Max/MSP environment.

Transmutation II (2020)

Performed live at the Đương Đại Contemporary Music Festival in Saigon, Vietnam on 8 December 2012. For Đàn Bầu, Đàn Tranh, 2 violins, cello, double bass, bassoon, tenor saxophone, vibraphone, tubular bells, untuned percussion, electronics. Based on the Vietnamese ‘Legend of Cổ Loa.’

Olivier Schreuder composes electronic and acoustic music. Furthermore he performs with custom made electroacoustic instruments, and as a DJ he has been playing grooves from all over the globe since 20 years.
 
He is especially interested in how traditional cultures and new technologies meet, and often works together with musicians from these cultures to find new hybrid forms of music.

Under his alias Lucid Voyages he composes electroacoustic ecosystems with his modular synthesizer, fieldrecordings and DSP. 

As Hiss Sound he produces dub and outernational electronic music, of which the album Taraf is his first achievement. 

As a composer, sound designer and performer he is part of several (live) music projects.
Currently these include The Magic Number, a live filmsoundtrackproject with composer Robin Koek & DJ Jeroen van Aalst, Kow Mai with Thai classical musician Angkanang Pimwankum, and Thai-Dutch collective Apichat Pakwan.
Apichat Pakwan's debut album Esantronics was released in October 2019 to critical international acclaim.

He performed a.o. on the Fusion Festival (DE), Gaudeamus Muziekweek (NL), ICMC 2016 (Utrecht, NL), TodaysArt Festival (The Hague, NL), Roots Festival (NL), Houtfestival (NL),  Na Fir Bolg Festival (BE), World Experience Festival (RO), Jai Thep Festival (TH), Isan Creative Festival (TH) and the Đương Đại Contemporary Music Festival (Saigon, Vietnam).

Together with Yme de Jong he started the game audio company SoundBoySound in 2016, specializing in music & sound design for games and interactive art.
